Stairway may be sacred, to be sure, but not sacrosanct. There aren't many songs the lyrics will fit into. And, it does help some people get a better handle on the words. It's a novelty, folks. You can sing "Green Acres" to a good portion of "Purple Haze". And I've heard "I Want To Hold Your Hand" to "Anarchy In The UK" on the Dr Demento Show, which is where I heard the Beatnix before. In fact, I might still have the tape somewhere...
