when people say that this is ineffective and would never work consider this no one would really fight like this these are just forms that develop technique and are the core of this martial art and if you did ever fight someone like this on the streets what would you possibly do? Yeah the flips and wild antics are a little ridiculous but the second you attack or throw a typical haymaker the guy will break your throat, legs and arms in a matter of seconds

Arguements about what is or is not practical are silly. Find a vid of somone who is clearly using monkey kung fu in a fight and winning, extra points if the other guy is using a martial art that has a good rep (judo, bjj, miu thai, the list goes on). If no such video exists, expect people to have negitve things to say.

Where are you getting your info from? Tai Shin Mun is the mandarin for Tai Shing Men (cantonese). Tai Shing Men is only taught today combined with Axe fist kung fu: Pek Kwar, to make Tai Shing Pek Kwar. It was developed by Kou Sze and Ken Tak Hoi. The current lineage holder is Chan Sau Chung; nicknamed the "monkey king" in Hong Kong. If you want something more traditional; look up Houquan which is the Shaolin temple monkey style.

Damien was a student of Paulie Zink many years ago when Paulie was still teaching, but either he forgot the actual form, or has decided to make up his own. I like it, it's very aesthetically pleasing, but it's definatly not the entire Lost Monkey form from TSPK.

I asked because the first comment said "He teaches monkey and other martial arts in New York...", from his website all he has under his belt is Judo and Paulie Zinc's teachings.
