Great review. I currently have the impact which is a great everyday case but sometimes I want a bit more protection without the bulk of the defender. I'm going with the commuter.

zomg i hate lint on my cases!! Please tell me the commuter does not get lint stuck all over it.. i think it detracts severally from the iphone's awesome beauty and design

@thecryptkicker5 - All cases "detract from the iphone's awesome beauty and design". Just fork out for proper insurance, it's not much more expensive than buying cases here and there. But then you don't have all the problems that come with a case.
Although I can certainly see why you'd want a case, it's what I did for 2 years with my iPhone 3G. Finally the iPhone 4 came and I couldn't bring myself to ruin it's style with a case. And it's been fine, even though I've dropped it from ~5' 2wice

Great review! The Commuter is better than the TL. Just add a Best Skins Ever back/front skin and you're all set. Gunk will NEVER penetrate to the Apple logo!

I really like the regular commuter but the only thing that made me buy the TL is because of the plastic cover on the Apple logo. If they had something to cover that Apple logo on the regular version I'll definitely go with the regular version.

A lot of people seem to like the TL better but I like the regular commuter. It just looks so much better than the TL and doesn't have that ugly transparent plastic (I love the commuter in gray)! Also, you can fix the apple logo protection issue with a screen shield cut out under the case.

very good review, into the details. You covered all the angles, and I like the comparison, Im going with the commuter. I already have a anti glare screen protector from apple wo I will use the one they send to protect my apple logo.

do you bu them or are they sent to you..and how do you get that connection if you do?

i have the zagg invisible shield installed on mine so i am not very worried about my apple logo.

he has a 150 videos on phone cases, that's how. companies know people will watch his videos. not just anyone can go get free cases. you'll have to go buy one like everyone else.
