  • O yeah i'll sure do that, cause i have liquid nitrogen lying around in my house...

  • hey that "dumbass" just landed his own show on cbs. Dumbasses.

  • Wouldn't the Leidenfrost effect temporarily protect whatever extremity of yours that accidentally comes into contact with liquid nitrogen?

  • Now let me show you a smart way to make ice cream

    Smart way:

    1:Grab a dollar

2:go to the store and buy

    3:eat

    Dumbass way:

1:Do the crap in this video with liquid nitrogen

2:Make messy smoke and cream all around the table

    3:Clean it up

here are the SMART WAY and DUMBASS WAY

  • IS THAT SAFE?

  • Man u guys suck at acting and your the best at being the worst

  • mother fucker u west my fucking time

  • why doesn't she just blow his cock already

  • lol liquid nitrogen? might as well just go to the grocery and buy a quart

  • its not 30 but 2min 17sec

  • tucking scripted

  • whats more expensive a tub of liquid nitrogen or cheap ice cream from the supermarket

  • Looks so cool, but I think I stick with the chemical reaction when you put bicarbonate of soda into caster suger, golden syrup, water and vanilla extract to make cinder toffee. :)

  • look @ 1:44 the emotion of chuck norris right on shirt

  • We did this in second-year physics a few years ago, only our lecturer was lazy and just poured liquid nitrogen straight into a bowl of cream. It was so delicious.

It was also slightly less suss given that we knew exactly where the liquid nitrogen came from. :P

  • "ITS SO BIG"

  • ummm did you guys actually eat it? There wasn't any footage of you guys putting it in your mouth.

  • la kagada este video !! me k-ge de la risa

    !!

  • Wow, they really are geeks.

  • Nice.

  • look at her face at 0:37 lol

  • thats a big protein whey hahaha

  • imagine drinking liquid nitrogen A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it will frezze your tounge and a!!!!!! will it blow up your stomoch. . . . . and make you frezze for ever

  • @drafoxca Yeah, if you drink liquid nitrogen.

Not what they were doing in the video.

    Because that would be stupid.

  • hmmm what is liquid nitrogen made of, exactly...

  • such amazing acting...

  • will the ice-cream frezze your mouth?

  • @jessedog8091 No, the liquid nitrogen boils away and the temperature at the end is roughly the same as regular ice cream, assuming you don't put too much ln2 in. (You can tell when it's starting to get to the right temperature by listening to how hard the mixer is working, so over-doing it is easy to avoid.)

But to be safe, you should check the ending temperature with a thermometer to make sure it's no colder than -20°F (that's the coldest that consumer "deep chest" freezers get).

  • @jessedog8091 more imortant, WILL IT BLEND???

  • buying ice creams easier ):

  • Wow I'm pretty sure that would kill you

  • @crmeehan24 Hehe well, liquid nitrogen by *itself* would be pretty bad, yes. But ice cream made this way? Perfectly fine. In fact, there're a couple of ice cream stores in the US that make ice cream on demand this way!

  • no you made it in 50 secs

  • Well Jack..I dont have any liquid nitrogen..oh really? I just thought you would at least store it at your house! I mean dang women are you homless? ;P lol

  • I'm Acting!!! Wait, We're Acting!!!

  • You rock!!

  • it's sooooooooo big

  • hmm

  • I'm definitely buying this book.

  • liquid nitrogen is edible ? ok ...

  • @Bjo15 No, it's not edible—it'd freeze your mouth! But it boils away while making the ice cream.

  • You went to Piedmont Middle School. Mrs.Ausman told our class about you and your success.

  • were i find nitrogen??

  • Talk about cooking with gas! Incredibly cold gas. Don't miss the blooper at the end.

  • @conceptual2 aaaaahahahahaha I'm gonna tell my wife that joke and she's gonna hit me :-(

  • I thought the Science Friday segment was great. I'll be picking up the book.

  • @yyanri Thanks so much!

For those that missed it, you can hear me on NPR's Science Friday on either iTunes (itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/new-frontier-for-geeks-the/id73329284?i=85648589) or MP3 (public.npr.org/anon.npr-mp3/npr/totn/2010/08/20100806_totn_02.mp3).

  • Und morgen bauen wir uns ein AKW. :-)

  • How did you get Andrew Breitbart to appear in your video?

  • Indeed. That was a keeper.

  • LOL, much more easier that way!
