  • no one ever said it was "free" they said it was guaranteed. there's a difference. our current system is nothing more than segregation of the RICH from the POOR.

The current system is UNSUSTAINABLE, we cannot afford the way insurance is done today. all the money goes to trying to deny you care. to an insurance corporation you are nothing but a fraction of a percent, your very life is a fraction of a percent of their daily profits, and they will happily drop you to save it!

  • to think of health care as a right is to totally misunderstand the concept of a right. If I am sick, I do not have the right to steal money from my neighbor to pay for medicine, I do not have the right to demand free treatment from a doctor.

  • The right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness....seems to me that being in good health falls under, "right to life".

  • it seems you misunderstand the concept of a right. You do not have the right to demand that other people work for you. You have no more right to free (tax funded) health services than you have the right to free ice cream.

  • Really?? Well interesting...because it sure seems like a doctor would think it is a right.....If a girl goes to the emergency room with her arm about to fall off after a horrible car accident, but does not have insurance....do the doctors and nurses shove her out of the hospital?? A Doctor takes an oath to serve their patients, especially in that type of situation....seems as though the doctors treat it is an obligation...or a "right" for the patient.....

  • I cannot have the right to demand free service from you. Its very simple. People do not the right to food, water, or health care. Somebody has to do work to deliver those goods and services. The government cannot make somebody work for me.

  • This is from the Universal Decleration of Human rights from the assembly of the UN in 1948...

    Article 25.

    (1) Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.

  • Of course the United States took part in this...whether you agree with the UN or not...which includes the right to food, clothing, AND MEDICAL CARE. the argument here is what is a right and what is not....but please do me this favor, don't compare someone suffering from cancer and being denied coverage to free ice cream....please...

  • neither is a right. Rights, at least as expressed in our Constitution and as understood by our founders, are freedom from the government. Everybody in the world has the right to free speech, but folks in Cuba (for example) do not have the right not to be killed for using that right. Nobody has the right to free goods and services. One cannot demand free medicine any more than one can demand free ice cream.

  • AHA!! I understand now.....you feel that it is a right for a private insurance company to deny health care rights to individuals as they see fit....I gotchya now....but humans should not have basic rights....only private businesses and corporations...crystal clear now.

  • Insurance companies should be made to honor their contracts, just like any other business or individual. And they should be able to enter into contracts according to their best interests, just like any business or individual. Its called basic freedom. Clear?

  • So then you are in favor of insurance companies charging whatever they want and setting any standards they want? So again, it's a case of favoring business over the American people. Also, this summer no one is talking about free health care, and bernie sanders is not either. The other thing is the flaw in your "free ice cream" argument. I can choose which food I want to eat, I can choose which clothes I can wear, I can't choose what type of cancer to get, or what type heart condition, etc.

  • sure, they should be able to charge whatever they want and provide whatever services they want. Just as consumers should be able to shop around and select the insurance that fits their needs.

Just as you can choose what food to eat, you can choose what medicine and tests to take. If your car breaks down (against your will), the taxpayers should not have to pay to fix your car.

  • The UN is hardly the authority on what is or isn't a right. Recall that Sudan was the head of the human rights commission. Good thing they have no power.

  • The countries that adopted the resolution....United States included, agreed that should be the universal picture of how things should be....not just foreign, but also in their own nations. So, by accepting the resolution and by voting to adopt it is a resolution, the United states accepted the prior mentioned article as basic human rights.

  • homeboy, it ain't "free" if our taxes pay for it

  • Too bad it's against the law to publically say he's a Socialist.

  • yeah. It's not. Nowhere else in the western world could use of the word 'socialist' be laughably misunderstood, corrupted, and turned into a throwaway insult. Go ahead and say so.

  • Sanders best senator in the senate

  • man does sanders have a speech impediment or what?

  • BUT, The Big Pigs of every major stripe (in each sector) are already totally done cleaning up, having gorged themselves enough for at least one more generation, which was the whole point - steal enough to last at least another generation, IE, for those with Piglets etc.

  • what's the button Sen. Sanders is wearing? I would love to put that on my backpack for all to see at my college.

  • Bernie doing it the old fashioned way. getting out there among the people.

  • the so called solution they propose is worse than the problem.

  • Down with the government Up With Democracy!

  • democracy may sound good at first but without a republic with a written constitution the majority can decide to take your belongings and liberty and life whenever they see fit.

  • the majority of Americans want single payer health care. is that taking anyones belongings liberty or life? no just the opposite. its the REPUBLIC thats keeping you from having single payer health care. the republic that represents the corporate elite. the health racket insurance and medicine. keeping it from the public and charging an outrageous fee is Extortion! the republic and big business don't care about you. the only minority they're protecting are the WEALTHY 5% that own this country.

  • I dont like this federal republic either. I am not defending them. I aint no american. I am a South Carolinian. they are all devils that murdered my ancestors.

Im just sayyin you need a few written laws that can never be broken. the feds break the rules everyday so this union is null and void far as im concerned.

federal healthcare will be horrible and worse Ill have to pay for it. screw that. and I hope you like REAL ID cause you have to have that to use it. SC has refused real id.

  • its not federalism thats the problem. its putting politicians in charge of your life thats the problem. we should all be federal citizens. we dont need state politicians nor federal politicians telling us what to do and how to sped our own money!

  • we dont do that in South Carolina. maby in some areas but for the most part our state government aint bad and theyre more than capable of staying out of our way and not slowing production unlike many other states. Most just fall into the federal way of doing things but its not like that here. its not perfect but its miles above most.

  • its your state government thats employing the military industrial complex, selling out small towns to wal mart and target, keeping people trapped in their cars so they can sponge off of you some more. keeping people unemployed, uneducated, and at health risk. putting small town restaurants out of business giving them over to fast food chains.

  • you dont know what your talkin bout. that might be how it works in Missouri. South Carolina probably has more independent buisness than any other state. I can name off countless small resturant chains that you can only find here. If a town wants to ban wal-mart they can and some do! and we like our cars just fine. folks in the big city wish they had cars. having your own car is the only way for us.

  • I'm in california btw. south carolina has a shitload of wal mart and mcdonalds and everything else that everyone else has.

  • Im sorry. I thought I saw in one of your videos you were from Missouri.

  • I grew up in missouri. lived in cali for the last 4 years though

  • As a motocross racer I have always wanted to go to California to ride some dunes and a couple tracks. California is the motocross capital of the world.

  • I think it of it more as the pot smoking capital of the world. It's EVERYWHERE YAY!~

  • aint nothin wrong with that! It aint hard to find round here either. Columbia is where Michael Phelps comes to get high ;)
