As a bodybuilder turned triathlete, I can tell you that typical hypertrophy range is 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps. Strength training is generally 1-5 reps with 3-5 sets. Endurance training is usually geared at 3 sets of 12-20 reps.

hey thanks for the thoughts. I am in my first month of training for a triathlon and I want to run the Coeur d'Alene Ironman in 2012. I am a bit heavy for endurance at the time but I am quickly getting back into the shape i was in while I was in the USMC Infantry. I figure a year of training is what i need. I will keep watching your videos and just wanted to say thanks for posting these videos.
