It's a damn shame this isn't in the US Wii version. It's one of the best credit sequences I've seen in a game. Mostly thanks to the song. I don't see why it isn't there.
Ironically i used to hate this game. I used to just judge it by its cover. I used to be like wtf??? a dog as a protagonist (i did not even know it was a wolf). But after playing this game this has become my favorite game of all time. Amazing game. Deserves a sequel, but i guess it won't happen cuz the okami team is no more and dispersed....

I had to track down the PS2 version of the game to play since the wii version doesn't have this ending due to Clover Studios no longer existing and the video contains the logo
I'm iffy on how Okamiden will be (the DS sequel) They've reduced the team to a few developers which i feel is just reducing the game to a simplified form of what it was

how the heck could this possibly make a series or a sequel? it's a self contained story with NO room for anything but a short OVA about the deleted chapter regarding the celestial plain/ moon

The stupid makers of the game said that it's unlikely that they're gonna make a sequel since it sold only 200,000 copies. Like 200,000 isn't ENOUGH?! If they make the sequel for the PS3 (Or 360) I'm gonna be pissed!

It's a vicious cycle. Games become more involved because people demand more, so they cost more, so people don't buy them unless they're absolutely great, which means you can't take any risks in making a game, and taking no risks means a dearth of quality, which also equals low sales.
@OkamiTube There will be a sequel....on Nintedo DS. It even angers me, for I've played the Wii version, that the sequel of such an epic game (it's definetly equal to...maybe even greater than Zelda) is ported to such a secondary console....I mean, yeah, Nintendo DS may be an awesome piece of gaming technology (which I don't own <.<), but it's still just a handheld console (which is why I don't own it)
Anyway the sequels name is gonna be Okamiden and you play a Chibi-version of Ammy.
Man, I'm dying for a sequel. All we can hope for is that some other company picks it up. It's happened with less successful games, so I suppose there's hope.

If you want a sequel.
Buy the original.
Borrowing isn't listed as copies sold for obvious reasons and it would 9/10 likely... be on the Wii exclusively.

I don't have a job, so I can't get it until my birthday in July.
If the sequel is on the Wii, I would be just fine with that.
I hate borrowing games, so that's why I try to get them when I have money.
