i think your machine would work better if you had the air at the bottom and the water a few inches above it. but you would have to get a check valve so you dont ruin your compressor
on my new one for this year i stole the nozzles off of a couple of herbicide sprayers i found in the trash, my machine is internal mix with two nozzles all i needed to fit the nozzles were 1/4 inch close coupler and a 1/2 to 1/4 bushing
is there any reason why you have the air hose and the water hose so far apart? and last question, how do you keep the water hose from freezing when its not running?
im building one of these almost the same way except im using an electric leafblower as the compressor and i live in in high point, nc and we have very good water pressure so i dont think ill have much of a problem about speed and im also doing internal mix but im using a y connector with shut off valves and air goes in one side and water in the other i think it should work fairly well
What temperature does this work at

what are you using for a nozzle and how big are the holes? my snowgun puts out to much water (only using garden hose y adapter for control)

im just using an endcap with a hole in it id dint want to spend the money for a snowmaking-nozzle but it would work much better if it had one
scooterworld 4 years ago
thats all i used, what size hole do you have, i need a better way to control the water flow

dont remember sorry something pretty small though

i bought the smallest pipes that i could find and put the ball valves on it. thats why they are the distance apart.

i take the hoses inside when im not using them. I made the mistake of leaving them outside once.

i had them and from garage sales

does it work
sz42781 4 years ago
it works but it is really slow. It works better if u have a pressure washer
scooterworld 4 years ago

sz42781 4 years ago
yes it is a craftsman compressor and a normal garden hose
