As a student of Buddhism, it sounds like the fast is bringing Dan to consciousness similar to the Buddha. He says that he is going to love everyone, even if they don't love him back, which sounds like acceptance and compassion. I hope he has compassion for himself. I like him so much! I hope he doesn't become a celebrity and an asshole - I hope he stays close to the lessons in the woods.

Dan, what you are going through is the same "betrayal" that Jesus went through when He was betrayed by Judas. It's not on that level, but if you are going to be like Him, you will go through the same things He went through and one of those is the betrayal of friends and/or family. It is there to build up love and forgiveness in you, for Scripture says that God is love. He is agape love or a type of love that can love others even when they don't love you back. It is a process; go through it.
Anxiety has to do with loss. If you are feeling loss, that is where the anxiety issues are coming from. Make peace with the loss issue and the anxiety will go away.

@therodiger Why would you want to fast? There's a reason why your body gets weak when you don't eat for a few days, not to mention the brain/body malfunctions that come with fasting (some delusional folk will call it "spiritual awakening" but people can have those on a full stomach).
Dan-I'm 22 years old and the longest fast I've ever done was 4 days. Is 4 days enough time for the body to clean out vaccines, excess lead, toxins, etc? I feel within my heart I should do a 40 day powerful fast but do not own a juicer. Are 1 day fasts once a week powerful enough to cleanse the human system?

I'm about to have a huge coconut and some melon for breakfast... Raw Food doesn't take time to cook, so a fast raw food place could potentially sell more food by the hour than fast cooked food. Imagine being able to pull up, pay like 4-6$ for 2-3 fruits, a small salad, and a large juice. Shit would be awesome.

I just want you to understand that the throwing up and diarrhea the second day was not detox. In case of acute emergency (physical or emotional) the body shuts down to prevent blood loss (from a hypothetical but in the body's view real injury), in order to go into coma. Before that, the body has to eliminate waste, to not be subjected to auto-toxication during the coma. A perfect example of a super-intelligent being taking control for survival - Dan's body. The danger? Only Dan can know.

My humble thoughts: The brown grey green stuff is the actual cleanse product itself. It expands in the gut with moisture and fluids in the gut. Vomiting can be caused by old or rancid product. These cleanses are usually purgatives, colloidals, mucosal agents (that creates mucus itself) and fibrous material.

I'm very concerned Dan. I know you really believe in this path you are on. There is much good in it. I believe in it - to some point. But I'm concerned. I agree that doctors prescribe drugs that we don't need. But this doesn't mean that you don't have an illness going on. Please see a physician. You don't have to take whatever medications that they may suggest. But it seems that something is going on. Don't chuck this off to relationship issues. Your body is telling you something.
@HappinessIsNow I agree with this comment for the most part. There are actually Naturopathic Doctors and many alternative forms of healing that could be helpful. Even Western medicine has it's place. It's OK to investigate other healing modalities in conjunction with using ones own intuition. That blood and mucous thing described by Dan does NOT sound like any normal detox AT ALL. Dan - You could be doing something TOO EXTREME.

I just want you to understand that the throwing up and diarrhea the second day was not detox. In case of acute emergency (physical or emotional) the body shuts down to prevent blood loss (from a hypothetical but in the body's view real injury), in order to go into coma. Before that, the body has to eliminate waste, to not be subjected to auto-toxication during the coma. A perfect example of a super-intelligent being taking control for survival - Dan's body. the master cleanse i have to say stinks, it messed my body so much with the electrolyte balance, felt like i was dying, my heart wanted to give out after 4 days. I dont recommend it to anyone, not to mention the problem with blood sugar levels getting the maple all day. ditch that formula for sure,

Girls will tear your heart out. But remember one rule of thumb. They only come around the moment you stop giving a damn.. only to loop you back in again. In the end I learned to never give a damn what happens and now I can love without the pain. Good without the bad.
BTW, I have been eating a lot too and I'm eating a lot of soups. I think it has something to do with the cold dark season. Watch out for sasquatch and Merry XMAS!

My humble thoughts: The brown grey green stuff is the actual cleanse product itself. It expands in the gut with moisture and fluids in the gut. Vomiting can be caused by old or rancid product. These cleanses are usually purgatives, colloidals, mucosal agents (that creates mucus itself) and fibrous material.

I wonder if the master cleanse fast had caused a too rapid a release process... since you are so pure already... it could have been formulated for people who are still "congested". Those emotions could be releasing now in a slower pace, a more comfortable pace now that your on the coconut water... but still getting the "pain" out ... do you think? I'm very concerned Dan. I know you really believe in this path you are on. There is much good in it. I believe in it - to some point. But I'm concerned. I agree that doctors prescribe drugs that we don't need. But this doesn't mean that you don't have an illness going on. Please see a physician. You don't have to take whatever medications that they may suggest. But it seems that something is going on. Don't chuck this off to relationship issues. Your body is telling you something.

It's OK to investigate other healing modalities in conjunction with using ones own intuition. That blood and mucous thing described by Dan does NOT sound like any normal detox AT ALL.
