Bad jokes aside, I was looking for some highlights and your videos were the 1st search hit. I've been on second place teams and relate to your thoughts. All you can do is swipe one more player from Rice that will make the difference. There is plenty of talent and be proud of all athletics from Texas - consistently in top 10% in all three major sports. Remember Vince Young, he gives LSU claim over USC in BCS W-L record. LSU undefeated; USC not.
this had nothing to do with whom ever was pitching. It was a young fan and I know that young man will never forget that. I think it was rude and an asshole of him to do that to a young fan. As long as he coaches , I will never have any respect for him no matter what his winning record is, and frankly if I was a team member or fan of the long horns I would be terribly embarrassed with his actions towards his young fans. There was NO excuse for his behavior.
Lot of mutual respect between fans of both clubs, nothing to hang your head about. If you get to watch any SEC football this year you'll likely get to see more of Chad Jones at strong safety.
It was going to be a difficult task to beat LSU twice in a row. We've had several games like Game 2 where a really good pitcher could shut them down, but our bats were due for a good game. Texas should be a beast next year, while we lose a lot of MLB talent, but hope to see yall in Omaha next year!

Appreciate the sportsmanlike approach of your assessment and video. Both fantastic teams. Texas coach is wrong, second place is excellent if both teams are excellent, and these two are. I do think that the Longhorns ran out of pitching energy. LSU's coach took the risk and reserved his #2 guy, took the loss in the second game, and won the third. i was at rosenblatt for these 3 games, and when it was tied 4-4 i was convinced we (LSU) were going to lose.....that should tell you a little bit of what i thought of texas' team. #1 and #2 for sure.......it was a great series.

The key to this series was Game 1. Coach Manieri knew it. Coach Garrido knew it. If the Longhorns had pulled it out in game one we know who would be National Champions now ? The Longhorns.
LSU showed its gut and grit and excellent coaching in Game 1. A classic game that will live in the memory of Tiger fans everywhere.
Game 2 Texas showed why it is one of a handful of preeminent baseball programs.

In regards to my comment about the pitch calling by the ump, the same exact pitch called a ball would be called a strike on the very next pitch several times on both teams. We watched the replays numerous times and the ump in the 3rd game was inconsistent.
First video that I have watched of you. I think everyone would agree the CWS included the two best teams. The ump for the third game would call a pitch a ball and the very next pitch was called a strike, on both teams. I don't think there was a call that cost anyone the game. There was a missed call where LSU was clearly safe on first and was called out. Texas played better in game 1 and 2 and LSU did what they needed in the 9th to tie and send into extra innings. Game 3 was all LSU.

Texas is going to have a great team next year. All 3 pitching starters are coming back and only losing 4 seniors (and maybe Brandon Belt). They also have a great recruiting class this year. Don't expect anything less than a national championship

All you can do is swipe one more player from Rice that will make the difference. There is plenty of talent and be proud of all athletics from Texas - consistently in top 10% in all three major sports. Remember Vince Young, he gives LSU claim over USC in BCS W-L record. this had nothing to do with whom ever was pitching. It was a young fan and I know that young man will never forget that. I think it was rude and an asshole of him to do that to a young fan. As long as he coaches , I will never have any respect for him no matter what his winning record is, and frankly if I was a team member or fan of the long horns I would be terribly embarrassed with his actions towards his young fans. There was NO excuse for his behavior.

Lot of mutual respect between fans of both clubs, nothing to hang your head about. If you get to watch any SEC football this year you'll likely get to see more of Chad Jones at strong safety.
It was going to be a difficult task to beat LSU twice in a row. We've had several games like Game 2 where a really good pitcher could shut them down, but our bats were due for a good game. Texas should be a beast next year, while we lose a lot of MLB talent, but hope to see yall in Omaha next year!

I appreciate your video. Shows real sportsmanship. I am a LSU fan to the end. I had a lot of respect for Texas until I saw them get there for the second game of the play offs. I saw a young Texas fan in his longhorn Tshirt ask coach Auggie for his autograph. He brushed the young kid off and said he didn't have time with a smile on his face. I thought that was pretty chicken shit of him. Sorry for your team lost but that asshole coach deserved it. Baseball is all about the kids and HE had time...

I saw that too, & was surprised that Augie turned down signing a kid's banner. I also blame Augie for a lot of Texas' pitching troubles- Wood was not the same pitcher since that 169 pitch BC game.

Appreciate the sportsmanlike approach of your assessment and video. Both fantastic teams. Texas coach is wrong, second place is excellent if both teams are excellent, and these two are. I do think that the Longhorns ran out of pitching energy. LSU's coach took the risk and reserved his #2 guy, took the loss in the second game, and won the third. All about playing chess while playing great baseball! Couldn't be more exciting. Loved the series.

i was at rosenblatt for these 3 games, and when it was tied 4-4 i was convinced we (LSU) were going to lose.....that should tell you a little bit of what i thought of texas' team. #1 and #2 for sure.......it was a great series.

There is no doubt Tx has pride and very well should. Good program, good teams and just all around good school and people. But,,,you need to save this video and use the word football everywhere you used baseball for next year. You can not imagine the world of LSU and Baton Rouge. Just ask ESPN, or Ohio, or anyone. When it comes down to LSU in any finals, save yourself some embarassment and go home. Ohio and ESPN learned that lesson the best. Take one step into Death Valley...feel it!!!!

The key to this series was Game 1. Coach Manieri knew it. Coach Garrido knew it. If the Longhorns had pulled it out in game one we know who would be National Champions now ? The Longhorns.
LSU showed its gut and grit and excellent coaching in Game 1. A classic game that will live in the memory of Tiger fans everywhere.
Game 2 Texas showed why it is one of a handful of preeminent baseball programs.
Game 3 was LSU's night.

In regards to my comment about the pitch calling by the ump, the same exact pitch called a ball would be called a strike on the very next pitch several times on both teams. We watched the replays numerous times and the ump in the 3rd game was inconsistent.

First video that I have watched of you. I think everyone would agree the CWS included the two best teams. The ump for the third game would call a pitch a ball and the very next pitch was called a strike, on both teams. I don't think there was a call that cost anyone the game. There was a missed call where LSU was clearly safe on first and was called out. Texas played better in game 1 and 2 and LSU did what they needed in the 9th to tie and send into extra innings. Game 3 was all LSU.

Texas is going to have a great team next year. All 3 pitching starters are coming back and only losing 4 seniors (and maybe Brandon Belt). They also have a great recruiting class this year. Don't expect anything less than a national championship

Yeah, even if the umps did favor LSU, it wouldn't have made much difference. My Horns just screwed up too much and couldn't make the right plays at the right times. LSU showed up. Texas didn't. As much as l hate to say it, congrats LSU and their fans.

Great series. When you guys tied us 4-4 I was pretty nervous. Neither starting pitcher had their stuff tonight, and it was up to the bullpens. Poor Austin Wood, that dude is a warrior but he hasn't been the same since the BC game.

Man that was tough to watch as a longhorn fan. I thought LSU would win but Texas played their hearts out. Eventually the sac bunt system wasn't going to work and I thought Texas would be done early if they didnt have power. Renaudo is just way too good of a pitcher and cole green just wasn't quite ready for the decisive game. What a CWS and final series just didn't turn out the way we wanted to
