Well I can not say for sure what the band means by it but I would have to say it is from Disney himself. The abulm was a dedication to master storytellers of sorts and Walt Disney was certainly a master storyteller. And even though he is gone the name Disney itself is forever a top brand of storytelling and 'magic'. And he left us not only the stories but also Magic Kindoms and other theme parks as well as the state of storytelling the name Disney is now in itself.

I don't know how old these band members are since this is the first song I've heard by them but I'm sure they can't be so old that they were only 6 when Steam Boat Willy came out which is the only time Mickey would be considered a Sailor Idol. Mickey can still be considered a sailor idol to this day, as long as it was the Steamboat Willie cartoon that really stuck with you. So while the Little Mermaid wasn't available to Mr. Holopainen when he was 6, Steamboat Willie was, and due to it being such an influential cartoon as it was, it is most likely that it was the Sailor Mickey that was the idol to a 6 year old Tuomas.

The lyrics are quite fascinating. I'm 23 and I was a kid who was brought up entirely on Disney (With the exception of such things as Transformers, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Mighty Morphing Power Rangers XD). But you can defenitly figure out quite a few of the references being made. Although I don't quite get the "Phoenix of White Agony Creek" part. Man! Listening to this song makes me want to just pack up and take a trip to Disneyland.
