really long video but it was worth watching! it makes perfect sense! whatever the backgrounds were of these philosophers of old, they still make a good point. go to a shopping mall or highschool in anytown,usa or in the world and notice all the kids with earbuds hanging from their ears. music can be played everywhere but what is it worshiping what is it glorifying???

@mnava78 the way technology has evolved, has changed how kids grow up. Say 200 yrs ago & for 1000's of yrs behind that kids were mostly influenced by their families & parents, (good or bad depending upon your parents) 50 - 30 yrs ago it was = to family/school/peers. Today with smartphones, texting the internet right in the hands of many kids, they almost raise themselves, w/ their peers & messages from the pop stars. It's possible for kids 2B as U mentioned totally absorbed anywhere by the stars

The point I was trying to make was in a secular fashion or even instance when a child is saturated by secular ideas, even music videos, & other peers who are influenced heavily as well by pop culture it will have in my opinion a negative effect on them especially with their relationship with Christ.

@J145h1 so your main argument is Aristotle made some bad calls, so everything he said most be wrong. Just because someone made some bad arguments doesn't mean everything they said was wrong. Einstein didn't believe in parts of now accepted quantum theory does that mean E = MC2 is wrong? I won't argue with whether or not Aristotle was a good dentist, but I do think his statement about how music changes a culture stands the test of time.

@J145h1 that's a weak argument, according to your logic, all you have to do is find a flaw in one part of someone's thinking then go, aghh, everything they say most be wrong. Wouldn't it be better to judge each argument to it's own merits. Isn't a possible a boat could have a flaw in it, say to light an anchor but it wouldn't prevent it from sailing, or effect the effectiveness of it's sails.
