@ali100045 So far it looks like a bust. The only card to break the 3DS mode encryption is a very new and still beta Crown3DS card. Not available until the 10th of this month in beta form for $70. Can pre-order it at r4town.com. As for the DSTWO, let's hope for a slim chance of firmware updates that will support the 3DS mode coding. Doesn't look promising though.

It won't happen. Two reasons. One, is because the DSTWO was made for the DS. It runs in backward compatibility mode when ran on a 3DS, hence why 3D mode is shut off, and you cannot access the home screen when using it, but instead a popup asking if you want to quit the software. When you go into regular DS mode, all 3DS hardware gets shut off. In short, the 3DS turns into a regular DS in in BC. Similar to the Wii in Gamecube mode.

It was made and released before the 3DS, so it was made with only up to DSI in mind, and not 3DS. Support to run it on 3DS is easy, as it is just a simple update to make it function. But more than likely, due to having DS in mind, it probably cannot handle the extra functions of the 3DS. Reason two, is money. No doubt, when the Crown is released, SC (and all other flashcard developers) will follow suit, and release new cards for 3DS games. They can charge more for it,

So rather than update current cards for it, they can make a new one, and charge good money for it. Whereas, if they implemented the feature into DSTWO, were it possible, they would either be stuck selling it at the same price as they do now, and make no extra money for the new feature, or up the price, and risk backlash from customers for upping the price on an old product. Especially if a customer was not looking for 3DS game compatibility.

@pouring0rain no changes to 3DS firmware, but you have to update the cart (which doesn't change the 3DS).

nothing bad will happen to your 3DS (Nintendo won't brick it, its illegal for them to do so)

No, that wouldn't fly, and Nintendo would be sued in a heartbeat. You bought a good. nintendo cannot take away the good. they can take away the eshop, that is a service. they can take away mario kart 7 online, that is a service. they cannot brick you.

@itachilord100 It is suggested you use a dslite/phat/hacked dsi to update it, but you can update on your 3DS, but it is not suggested, google for further instructions.

@fhelbarto when the update that allows the supercard to be used on the next 3ds firmware is released, update the card on another ds system (preferably the ds or ds lite since there is no way it can be bricked) and voila! you can use the supercard once again on the 3ds (assuming that ur 3ds is not already bricked from trying to use it without updating lol)

@GrayWolf Wrong. If you have only the 3DS, you can download some file, and then, boot it up on 3DS. It will tell that an error occurred, but you wait 3 minutes on that screen and it'll be updated. just search it on supercard DSTwo forum.

You have to update your supercard dstwo to be supported in 3ds in either a ds phat, ds lite or a dsi.

You can't update it in a 3ds.

ok a little clearer,but still a little confused,ok so now i see on scds2 site that 1.08 is the newest fw out ,that makes it work on 3ds,so then i would download the 1.08 fw update to my sd card ,put it in my ds2,put that in my dsi,and then the 1.08fw will use the dsi to flash the new 1.08fw to the nand of my ds2,right?or will i be able to put it into a dslite after i have the 1.08fw on my sd and have it update the ds2 cards fw?or do you need to put the1.08 on a sd in the dsi 's sd slot not ds2's

then, now that its updated, its put into the 3ds to show off its capability.

as for that loading screen, im pretty sure you can update your fw by connecting to wifi, rather than updating it manually on the computer

i bought a supercard dstwo from shoptemp and it only worked for 2 weeks (it freezed alot while it was working)and then it thought HEY IM SUPERCARD I WONT WORK ANYMORE ... since then my supercard wont run on any ds...but 2 friends of mine have 1 and it has NO problem ...just looks like i got a broken 1 but i'm aint going to buy a new 1 for 35$ (35+35=70$!!!! that to much)
