  • che vocina!

  • This is absolutely my favorite operasong!!

  • What recording is this? In English, and a wonderful production.

  • PLEASE MORE VALERIE!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is the best aria handel wrote!

  • Im going to post tatiana troyanos version in a few days!

  • I DON'T THINK THAT. You should listen more classical music!:)

  • "This is the best aria handel wrote!"

What does Handel have to do with classical music?

  • @elias12186 it's obvious that Handel's music is refered as "classical" as it's Palestrina's, Bach's, Schubert's, Chopin's, Debussy's, Shoenberg's, etc... It's commonly known that this type of really artistic music is called classical regadless of its time of composition.... you should accept that, otherwise you're going to suffer forever

  • Yes, good word -- she is adorable.

  • because its a very difficult aria an very few sopranos can sing it

  • interesting, on my recording this is not one of cleopatras arias

  • Which recording do you have?

  • I think the Jacobs recording doesn't have it, but the Minkowski does.

  • actually its the other way around, the Jacobs does the Minkowski doesn't

  • That is because this is one of the most difficult aria for a singer and not everybody is able to sing it

  • why do you think is so difficult, it is as difficult as any other handel arias

  • she is such a great singer that i didnt get annoyed by the fact that she-s singing in English, when handel tought this music to be sung in italian, englishspeaker dont mind it , though, when music intended to be sung in a different language is sung in english,.... jerks

  • Beautifully sung. Her English is more intelligeable than most singers of today. Great imitation of Baroque performance techniques, which is all that works.

  • Such a lovely lady and such a brilliant singer; brings to mind the Vivien Leigh of Caesar and Cleopatra. Adorable!
