@4272mana Yes, but Barerra went all the way up in the 140's, Hamed was more of a natural lower weight class. It wasn't hard for Barerra to go there. Steward said that Barerra would win this fight, because Hamed wasn't training hard, and Barerra was extremely focused. Hamed had potential, I don't know anyone that had that combination of speed and power. But those other guys were greater, Hamed just had the potential to be better than them.

The crowd boo'd him, I think maybe it was because of 9/11, Hamed was very flamboyant about Islam, and he had money. He also had hand problems, and he said he wanted to be with his family. I think it was a combination of factors which then led to his retirement.
