  • This is beautiful, just the way I hear the "missing" notes of the piece in my head. You must record this. Any people from the labels reading this?

  • Beautiful !

  • How do you not like this?

  • It's such a luscious sound - the hands and the instument and recording - almost like the charater of rain.

  • Dear Robert Hill, you make it difficult for everyone else to record a J. S. Bach CD now. Thank you for your inspiring playing!

  • Robert, your phrasing is superb! It reminds me of phrasing more commonly used for the harpsichord music of Couperin and Rameau ... This is a truly wonderful recording!

  • SO BEAUTIFUL

  • I can't say how beautifull is this~

  • Beautiful.

  • Perfection achieved.

  • Is this instrument one of those made by Keith Hill, Robert's brother?

  • Thanks for your comments. Yes, this is a Keith Hill Taskin model instrument, from 1998, owned by the Freiburg Musikhochschule, where I teach.

  • brilliant performance!

  • Perdón la ignorancia ésta pieza es la original de la versión hecha por Yanni y cantada por Jonathan Pacheco?

  • I like this transcription better than the 'heavier' Leonhardt's, or the 'overly-decorated' Winsome Evans's.

  • yeah i love this! its so romantically played that its ideal soundtrack for dramatic movie

  • Very soulful. The harpsichord is difficult to play with expression, it takes much practice.

  • pure genius

  • GRAZZIEEEEE grazzieeeee che dio ti benedica

  • Superb !!! Thank you !!!

  • G minor

  • This transcription is down a fifth from G Minor to C Minor, as was typical for some violin to harpsichord transcriptions from the Bach circle.

  • I just love Bach's handwriting !

  • oh, great.

No era menos de esperar de el Maestro Bach.

  • That is the most beautiful sounding harpsichord I've ever heard.

  • The feel of the piece, the richness of the harpsichord, and the moving handwritten score all add to the tranquility of this wonderful piece.

0:51 to 1:05 in particular is absolutely georgeous.

  • esa hermosa interpretación es del Adagio de la primera sonata de Bach...qué hermoso ¡ amo a Bach

  • I award this 5 ANNA MAGDALENAS FOR BACH'S D'ANGLEBERT THERE IS A SENSE OF MOURNFUL VULNERABILITY CONVEYED HERE THROUGH THE SEQUENTIALLY TIDE-LIKE FRAGMENTATION OF GESTURE THAT PUSHES INTO THE REALM OF EMOTIONAL IMPRESSIONISM REINFORCED BY A CRISPLY DELICATE AND EVOCATIVE ARTICULATION

  • Brilliantly done, with a balance of poise and pathos

  • WOW!!!!

Any chance that you could share the transcription's score?
