Packard truly worked some magic by adding that Wright supercharger to the V-1650. And such a shame that the BBD was lost at Duxford this year...I got to stand right next to her at ILA 2010, what a beautiful machine!
@SprecheDeutsch Agreed, such a loss to the fans of the P51 Mustang but thankfully no one was lost in the accident, BBD had the best paint scheme ive ever seen on a warbird, I hope they get another P51 and repaint in BBD livery.
@S00000by Twilight Fear has a very similar livery, but the red outlining of the checkerboard paint still looked better on the BBD. Isn't there a P-51D painted in her honor in the Imperial War Museum in London?
the mustang's engine is so sexy , just the sound gives me the shivers
