  • ¡Que sonido! Bravissimo

  • If Bach could allways be played like that… Perlman has a stunning way to play this music. When you're violinist for only 7 years, that's absolutely depressing.

  • Love it! Thank you.

  • 7 people disliked the video coz they mistaken the button for 'dis i like' button.

  • @whneo97 Thumbed up. Because that was the first laugh of the day. :)

  • 7 people are violinist and can't play this.

  • The misery in this thread makes me even more assured that I never want to comment again on a YouTube vid. Why can't you just enjoy the music? This is as good as music gets. Perlman before swine...

  • Lol, Youtube comments, stay classy. *facepalms so hard she knocks her nose into another dimension.*

  • Just Perfect. Nothing to say.

  • Bravo

  • @SLee1337 obviously you are the retarded one, i said 7 people thought that it was bach himself, if you had a bit of assessment skills you would know what i meant with that. i meant that 7 people thought it was bach himself who played it. and racism typically indicates ignorance, and who are you to call someone retarded?

  • @SLee1337 wow, awesome. especially because there are no rednecks in Holland.

  • @SLee1337 what are you some dumb-ass racist redneck? go pray or something fuck-off.

  • When was this?

  • 7 people thought that was bach himselff

  • the 7 people who unliked this video are idiots

  • THe tissue is because it's a fucking Strad, and it's worth $1m.

  • @gamesbok : Please reserve words connected with copulation with the art of procreation. Then, and, only then, will all be happy !

  • awsome bow control :O (Y)

  • Makes feel warm... and hungry... for Mac n Cheese.

    =D

  • ... this is a very important study in the use of the bow ... the bow and the left hand !

  • Beleza infinita.Musica flui qual água cristalina e pura renovando nossa alma e elevando nosso espirito.Magnifica interpretação.Congratulações...

  • Itzhak makes this piece sound really sweet! I love the juicy sound of his violin.

  • HIS SIDEBURNS WILL NEVER BURN AS MUCH AS SHOWN HERE ... ONE´S WHISKERS GET TATTY AS ONE GETS OLDER. HIS FACILA EXPRESSIONS? THOSE OF A SILLY COUNTRY BUMPKIN!

  • Too much "appassionato" and romantic. Does not suit Bach much IMHO

  • I am going to play this piece for an upcoming exam, and i thought that i wassounding pretty good until i heard this!

  • piece is deceptively simple, it leaves a lot of interpretation, which I hope I can develop after memorizing this. ;laks;lakew;lakd Good way to blow off steam I guess, I've been really frustrated lately.

  • very bach!

  • The peak note at 1:48 is very escalative

  • @vyolynoalex93 : hey dude what das dat mean ?

  • The level of the composition is impeccable,in a league of its own Bach is untouchable. The phrasing by Perlman is excellent(some observations i made after further listening

    )

  • The Partita in Dminor is the best i have heard Perlman play, the best Bach has composed, brilliant performance, technique and intonation

  • @rawautube very scolastico

  • I'm in love with the expressions violinists have when they concentrate; their mere position makes them look like they're lending an ear to their violin, so that it almost seems like the instrument is controling their playing arm and they're just listening =D

  • Wow your description is very deep hahaha. Thats actually how I feel about those musicians who are extremely emotionally when it comes to playing their music. Incredible people.

  • @kanamoon : a happy pumpkin if there ever was one !

  • xD Ahh, there you go, the perfect description I was looking for to define of the guy's expression !

  • actually my version is derived from country bumpkin ... an ye olde English saying

  • @kanamoon : Interesting comment !

  • @kanamoon haha if only that were the case...

  • @kanamoon The instrument is never in control, every musician knows that.

  • onde posso arrumar essa partittura?

  • alguem me passa essa partitura

    enc.

    por favor

  • plz

  • partitura in program encore

  • true dance music.

    i feel his groove.

  • I'm gonna study it this year and it looks funny

  • What kinda violin does he have? a stradivarious?? some one please let me know =]

  • the "Soil" Stradivarious

  • hes not using that in this video.

  • I think you are right. This looks early 70s. I believe he came into possession of the Soil a little after that.

  • yeah, i can tell by the pegs... he got the soil from menuhin.

hes using the one he owned before hegot the soil but i never knew what kind it was.

  • oh! thx =]

  • a violin with four (4) strings

  • @3NUNS well put buddy

  • what did I say that obtained your approval ?

  • a very apt observation

  • Awesome!!! I like this tempo...

    thanks :)

  • Gotta tell you guys dat this is my totally favorite thingo on Youtoobe

  • Comment removed

  • dont like the tempo

    but love the sound =)

  • it's not about how difficult the piece is, it's about the emotion and thought you give it.

  • so record yourself doing so and post it.

  • sure you can play it-so can i but can you produce the sound he does? i doubt it.

  • okay so i still think i could play it (not boasting) but i must have been in a bad mood when i was watching this before because now i think he sounds amazing. weird.

  • Get the music and play it. I just started the piece last week and let me tell you, it's hard. The notes are simple to get down but there's MUCH more to playing that notes, that's what a lot of people don't seem to understand. So the notes are there for me by now but I still have a LONG way to go before i can even get it adequate in comparison to this. And when I say get the music and try it, I'm being serious, and then tell me if you can play it or not.

  • gimme that priceless soil strad and lemme see :)

  • Is that the soil?

  • ouch

  • @louisahawkins : If one spends 12 months on a bravura violin composition such as this, then one can put the same level of artistry into such providing one has not counter-practised at any stage.

  • I think he played pretty well in this one.All the notes are clear and intact. And this piece is quite difficult.. imo. I think its harder than Sarabande. =/

  • I whole-heartedly agree with you, I'm studying them now. This one is truly more difficult, contrary to popular belief.

  • thaaaaaaaaaanks for posting!

  • great
