I recognize it so much but I don't connect it to this movie

  • does anyone else find it somewhat ironic that most of the stories that christians tell feature hebrew chracters :I even jesus was hebrew, it was his disciples that sort of created christianity.

  • @szrsplaythroughs

yeah christianity is an offspring of the earlier Judaeic religion

  • @szrsplaythroughs yep jesus was a jew lol but Christians follow the teaching of Christ. Thats why I beleive most religions are correct.

  • @OrangeGriff r u a christian?

  • @TheDave6000ol yes Im a catholic.

  • @OrangeGriff oh i see

  • @szrsplaythroughs yeaah He us Hebrew, but Christians accept him as the son of God, Jews believe he was a false prophet. They believe in the same God, Jews are still waiting on their messaiah though.

  • I've read Exodus...this movie only covers the first couple chapters 0_0

  • @tatinana415 Yea I know, I still love the movie tho, and even the Bible definnetly, even if ( spoilers ) John the baptist's was beheaded.... Rest in peace John ;-;

  • I love this movie, it's the best ever!

(Okay but Blades of Glory is extremely close)

  • i feel like this movie had one of the best soundtracks.

  • can you hear your people cry? Love that line!

  • The Choir of slaves in this soundtrack: The American national anthem if SOPA passes.

  • @Z7TomC7Z , this movie aint Disney... Dreamworks!(:

  • -flails- I love this song, and this movie.

  • Can everyone please shut your religious pie-holes and listen to the music!

  • Does anyone know the notes of the begining? I've been trying to figure it out FOREVER! If anyone could help me out I'd be very happy.

  • @Under79in9 Not officially. I can get the basic tune when I play piano, but I've never had the sheet music and am not exactly the greatest when it comes to playing by ear. But if it would help any, I could try to give you the rough idea.

  • @mcmptn that'd be great! If I can get the few beginning ones I am sure I could figure out the rest...

  • @Under79in9 Okay. Starting at what? The instrumental at the beginning or starting when the slaves start singing?

  • @mcmptn The instrument I've been trying to play it on my cello ALL day and it has not been going well haha

  • @Under79in9 I only know piano, but the notes would be the same. I can play the instrumental at the beginning of this song, and I can play starting with when the slaves start singing melodically, but I just can't figure out the "Mud! Sand!....Faster!" bit. haha

  • The Prince of Egypt wasn't made by Disney, but by Dreamworks!

  • when i listen to this song i'm somehow magially transported under the egypt sun:D it gives me the cold vibes.

  • deliver us

  • The Rabbit hole goes deep indeed with research and actually reading/studying the bible for yourself you will see the lies and deception of religion. The origin of religion is religiō meaning to BIND, TIE etc religion is keeping ppl from truth

1150–1200; Middle English religioun (< Old French religion ) < Latin religiōn- (stem of religiō ) conscientiousness, piety, equivalent to relig ( āre ) to tie, fasten ( re- re- + ligāre to bind, tie; compare ligament) + -iōn- -ion; compare rely

  • So christ Name is YASHAYA or YASHIYA meaning "My savior."

Luk 1:46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

Luk 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Also " GOD" has a name according to the 3rd Commandment..His name is AHAYAH ( I AM in hebrew Exodus 3:14-15) in the strongs concordance H1961 HAYAH mean " to exist" or " I AM" " To be" etc..AH is singular " I" he said he is I AM = AHAYAH. "Jesus" is actually cesare borgia research him

  • Christ was a hebrew Israelite from the tribe of Judah Hebrew 7:14 and the letter "J" didn't exist until the 7th century nor during christ time. In ancient Hebrew no vowels didn't exist E, O,U except the letter I in ancient hebrew. So Christ Name is Not JESUS.." Jesus doesnt mean saviour according to the Hebrew/Greek strongs concordance G2424. Hosea 2:16 say call christ ISHI and in the strongs H3469 ISHI means "Saving" and it directs you to H3467 YASHA meaning "savior, deliver, salvation etc."

  • Them Jews can sing!!!

  • @deutschbag1000 Yeah they can!

  • i imagined the hole scene in my head while i was listening to this =w=

  • this is my favorite song in the movie :3

  • I think I know the name of God ! He's...Hans Zimmer !

  • @Sexpistolspower isn't god Jesus? or Zuse? or... um... idk

  • I really wish Dreamworks do more movies like this, Disney music is great but the soundtrack in this movie is top notch excellence.

  • I luv the song and the movie! i miss the old dream works movies...

  • @4everinthetwilight Ditto!!!

  • After the hebrews left Egypt, they set fourth for the land of Canaan. They conquered the canaanites that resided their. Moses was pissed about the hebrews mercy, and order his people to mercilessly kill the canaanites, except for the virgin women, who were turned into slaves. Ironic, huh? To leave the bonds of slavery, only to force others into the institution.

  • All the religious stuff aside, the movie and the audio is marvelous. I wish most people would see it for what it is and not as some piece of religious propaganda.

  • @XodoK Quite honestly, I'm not religious, but I love this movie. and the soundtrack. Is it wrong for someone who's not religious to like this movie..?

  • @Cutefirewolf of course its not wrong, it makes us religious and semi religious people very happy

  • awww man the snowflakes are so freaking cool x) press the snowflake icon and move the mouse across the screen so cool now i can finally have some snow stupid weather ughh

  • Please God, deliver us from this economy.

  • to; Z7TomC7Z

i thought this was dream works

  • Now... I want to watch this movie..... Again!

  • :( this was a sad movie.

  • @BigCatBertha Well now you know why the Jewish celebrate Passover every year. It was a blessing to the Hebrews, and a curse to the Egyptians all because the Pharaoh refused to have an open mind.

  • I feel bad for Heebrews and Jews. RAMSES YOU FUCKER, howd they cause trouble?

  • the un-english singing part (not sure what language it is) is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard

  • @BVBrule1996

Its in Hebrew and it says

My good and tender child do not be afraid

  • @Gdilen11 oh thank you :) this movie is one of my all time faves ^_^

  • @BVBrule1996

    my too

  • @BVBrule1996

  • I love my Jewish brothers and sisters you have made this world a better place with your contributions to society

  • wit show did take the whole 7 min of the into jus 4 a song...

  • @princessrocroyal ...what?

  • @ClashxCityxRocker -_- turn the 3s into Es and ull get it

  • I heard this one in hebrew is awesome!

  • Actually the hebrews didn't build the pyramids, because the pharaoh didn't see them worthy of building his sacred temples and statues.

  • I love this song and I also LOVE Hans Zimmer's music. Let me tell you, when I realized to day that Hans zimmer composed it I fell out of my chair. I was like THATS WHY I LIKE IT OF COURSE!

  • @antoniabuffy Hanz Zimmer is a musical god! I love that man!

  • @antoniabuffy I totally know what you mean, Hanz Zimmer is a musical genius!!!

  • Honestly as a christian I would let my future kids watch this. because its mostly accurate to the bible.

  • @supersaiyanjohnny081 yes but its not accurate according to history so yeah let your kids watch this but let history be thought in school. If the case however that you do not believe the bible is history and that this movie is just a nice story (which it is) then go ahead :)

  • Aliens building the Pyramids my ass!

  • @VTwinty it was only slaves that built it

    so i agree with you

  • The way they suffered slavery oddly parallels the trans atlantic slave trade...I saw a video the other day on youtube, a white woman was saying that hebrews are black because the slave trade fulfills the prophecy in deuteronomy (don't know how to spell it xD)

  • i really loved the movie and the music! i used to beg my dad about watching it over and over he was like "we've seen this like 10 times already!!" lolz its just an amazing story that when i was younger i was really interested in learning about even though i watched over a billion times:) and honestly thats when i wanted to learn more about the egyptions and stuff like that.

  • i'm christian and i still love the movie & song. why are eople arguing about religion right now? enjoy the damn music. it's beautiful. at the end of the day, we're all humans & have feelings.

others have different beliefs & skin colors, who gives a F? get over it. it doesn't make them any different from everyone else. enjoy the music.

  • hans zimmer is a really talented composer. like his music.

  • Thumbs up if this is one of your favorite songs in the movie:-D

  • Every time I hear the part where she says goodbye it makes me want to cry... Or I do

  • This place is not the place to debate religion or any issues of the world. The internet is a place to debate foolish arguments or pointless ones, such as Slave 1 vs The Enterprise and other such arguments. Race and religion is to be debated by professionals in stadiums and arenas designed for such debates, not on youtube videos or any internet forum that exists. Such issues can only be resolved in a public debate in real life, never online.

  • @JesusX666 well said

  • This movie has the greatest soundtrack of any movie I've ever seen.

  • Now back to the good part...

    I need inspiring background music.

  • I'm Jewish, and now that I'm older, I can understand Everything in this movie much more. I seriously cry every time I watch this movie. Especially at this song.

  • Ooookay, so I'm an agnostic going to a catholic high school and we watched this in my old testament class. I was expecting to hate this movie but somehow I just can't! Awesome movie, awesome music, it's just awesome!!!! I can't stop singing all of the songs!

  • I get goosebumps when I hear this song, so powerful. So beautiful.

  • I watched this video in class today, it was awsome, the opening took my breath away, the rest of it was just amazing......

  • this is one of my FAVORITE!!! songs from childhood. i remember acting out the part where Moses's mother swaddled him and put him in the weaved basket with my baby doll...lol. now, i'm going to try ad find a way to get my choir teacher and the band director at school to allow us to perform it before i graduate,...which is this year, so....not long from now. :D><

  • @ShabahSaz02 words came right out of my mouth! thank you for setting that straight :D

  • Moses is so badass.

  • This was the first movie my dad took me to see in theaters. It brings back such awesome memories from my childhood. I'm in college now, but I listen to this when I get down. It shows God's enduring faithfulness, no matter what darkness begins to hover over our lives. He WILL protect his people. Sometimes that's an important thing to remember in college. In life in general, actually.

  • I got to watch this movie in Bible class today and friday :)

  • where God LEFT them (the people who he PROMISED protection and love) to be enslaved by the Egyptians because they came in such great numbers, and a Pharoh who came after and did not know of Joseph, saw their numbers and was afraid. SO he enslaved them.... way to go God way to betray those who were loyal to you from the start... DON'T BELIEVE ME!? Look in the bible...

  • @ethanandnolan well, you obviously don't study the bible. God doesn't abandon His people. sometimes He purposely allows us to go through trials and tribulations so that we may become closer to Him. and He did deliver His people by sending them Moses and he also punished the Egyptians with the plagues. His will isn't by our time, but by His own. He doesn't have to do anything, but He still does. Don't question Him or His will. just continue to believe and you will be blessed.

  • @ashiee2012 Well obviously you didn't understand my point,

I was saying how God was resposible for their enslavement in the first place by telling Jacob and all the Hebrews to go to Egypt. AND he left them there to suffer and die for hundreds of years before he sent Moses to clean up his mess.

  • @ethanandnolan no, i understood, but it seems that the meaning of my message was lost. the way you stated your previous comment came off as a criticism towards God and His plans for the Hebrews. There was a purpose for their enslavement. He didn't just decide one day, "Oh, I feel like letting My people get enslaved..." naw. He already knew. and besides, who are we to even try and comprehend His reasons behind what he does. but whatever. sorry if i offended you.

  • @ethanandnolan God's plan for deliverance started with the birth of Moses, if you think about it carefully. By all logical explanations it was highly improbable that Moses' mother would have been able to get him to safety and that he would have been taken in by the Egyptians knowing who he was that it could have been nothing but God's hand at work. So while it took years to happen, God was not ignorant of the Hebrews' cries.

  • @ethanandnolan Don't be angry at God, God has his rights to do things, He NEVER did anything wrong! It wasn't His fault that the Jewish people got captured and enslaved. You should be happy that Moses saved them. Without Moses, The Jewish people would've never been saved, unless if God saved them but thats not the point, someday this cruel and mean world will understand God

  • The sad thing about this movie is that God put them, HIS people, there and left them there for hundreds of years to suffer and die. When Joseph, the son of Jacob, was sold into slavery by his brothers, he rose to power and eventually became one of the leaders of Egypt. (Watch Joseph King OF Dreams to fully understand). But in the Bible God said to Jacob, descendant of Abraham, that he should bring all of his family to Egypt and be with Joseph. So he did, and he brought the Hebrews to Egypt...

  • I love the part at 2:11 !

  • The part at 3:22 is my favorite part. It always makes me cry. :3

  • I dont like this song but my friend wants to listen to this while she work ....

  • This is a beautiful song showing the pain of a mother for losing her baby because of Egyptians....

What does that have to do with racism and american accents?? Please. Grow up a little and be kind to others who love this movie as much as I do. As my Grandmother used to say.. "If you have nothin good to say say nothin at all." Moses would be disappointed in some of the comments ive read *shudder* Thank you(:

  • HANS ZIMMER... gods personal musician

  • anybody know the instrument at 5:30? doesnt sound wispy enough to be a flute, or a piccolo, but I cant think of what else it might be

  • @ultrajackass Sounds like a panflute or occarina.

  • Hey people ... dont feed the trolls ... it means they win

  • can somebody recommend me music that has the same kind of magic in it? it's very hard to find.

    greetings from Armando

  • 2 people are of egyptian royalty. XD

  • Moses' mom's part in this song is so anointed!

  • You know, sometimes I wish they'd disable comments on videos like these.... -_- ....

  • You know, sometimes I wish they'd disable comments on videos like these.... -_- ....

  • Hans zimmer...you've done it yet again :)

  • Wow, I honestly never read the comments till now. Kinda regret it. Not trying to tell people not to express themselves, but since people are very opinionated about race and what not, you shouldn't go boasting your opinion to everyone and get upset when one or more people don't agree in any way shape or form as to what you're saying. Race is just as touchy as Religion or Politics, so it's simple: Don't talk about it and listen to Deliver Us

  • Goosebumps when the beat dropped. :)

  • this song is just so... POWERFUL

  • This is music. It is used to show emotion and art. Racism and stupid arguments about it is not art. How about we all shut up and enjoy the song. If you want to be critical go complain to the people who MADE the song. Now STFU and listen to this GLORIOUS and AMAZING piece of art. Thank you.

  • @ShiroiFang Well said.

  • @ShiroiFang Theres no need to swear. If you have noffin nice to say, dont say noffin :)

  • @MrDiddydodat I'm sorry. Here. Rewrite.

This is ****ing music! It's used to ****ing show emotion and ****ing art. F*** Racism and F*** stupid arguments about it not being ****ing art. How about we all shut the F*** up and enjoy the song. Blah blah blah I sound like an illiterate a**hole.

Is that better? Trust me. If I wanted to be rude and swear I would have. But that is wrong, especially when someone just uploaded this song to be enjoyed. What I said was NICE compared to what I COULD have.

  • @ShiroiFang Lol, Ik ik i was jus fooling around! :P Yhur rite! dis ish a piece of music and it ish amazing :)

    Love the song and movie!

  • @ShiroiFang I agree with Shabah, but you're not supposed to say STFU it kinda ruins the mood if you're top comment. But yeah fight the power.

  • @ShiroiFang Amen to that!
