This game had the easiest final boss fight in history. All it consists of is Shredder running to the right. That's all. He may throw one attack, but he'll keep running into the rightmost wall like there's a dozen fortunes behind it.

From there, just stand behind him and press B until he's dead.

This is the only theme in the game that sounds anything like the tv theme song...unless you count the quick jingle they play when you beat a level boss. I used to play this game sometimes and think...this is based off the tv series and not the comic (which I know very little about), right? So that little "heroes in a halfshell" part of the music would make me think ok it does have some connection to the show.

Always loved this song, but I never beat the game. Only got inside the techndrome, and the hall before Shredder was impossible for me. After all that hard work getting 40 scroll sub-weapons for each turtle, and either dieing on the later stages or the spikes closing in on you part before the stage 4 boss, I end up giving up on the game :/

I've only beaten the game ONCE!! that's sad compared to people who can beat this whole game without a continue. I used 1 continue and i was sweating like crazy and the ending relieved me but pissed me off at the same time.

Really tough stage, and a really good song for the 8-bit era. Sounds like a progressive rock instrumental. Very interesting percussion, if such can exist in 8-bit music. ;-)

i actually clocked the game a grand total of ONCE on the NES! Inside the technodrome was stupidly hard. Shredder himself with his mutant-reversal ray gun wasn't that difficult if I recall.

I found this stage very easy but still never finished the game. Usually I kicked the bucket in Stage 3 ... a single time I destroyed the Technodrome and got my shell kicked in the final Stage. Ah well ...

THE BEST GAME ON NES!! Seriously. The game rocks. I still play it and i am 14 :) I grew up on it so the secrets are not that hard, but the Technodrome was .. killer. THere was a part that you dont have any other choice than to fall on spikes and the astronauhs (mispelled)..

The ones who make music are talented people. It's disappointing that they work so hard on music and it's only heard once or twice, and it's not appreciated enough. Although in this case that song probably did get listened to enough to be appreciated.

Christ, that level was a real pain in the a**! I'd rather swim in acid than to go through the aggravation of defusing 8 bombs in 2 (or maybe more) minutes, with traps you bump into every which way! But all in all, TMNT kicked ass.

Hate to tell people, but if they found this part of the game hard, than certain parts of the technodrome would have stopped them dead.

If you can get around the plants (which just take patience and precision) the rest is a breeze, you just have to time the beams right.

Agreed. I've actually gotten all the way to the Technodrome, but didn't get too far into it. The trick to the river is to switch between your turtles just before they die, and to use the ones who're the least useful in the river first (like starting with Raph and then switching to Mikey).

Oh, and I'll try to have some more of the arcade music up soon. Last time YouTube was giving me trouble, but hopefully it'll be different this time.

Basically you are right on. I usually start with Mikey then switch to Raph because he is more useful than Mikey. I can deal with Mikey having low power or being dead. This board once you figure out the correct pattern is simple. I can get all eight bombs dismantled before the time starts to blink.

I'd use Ralph then Leo. I would've used Mickey second, but I keep him and Don for emergency uses (Mickey deals as much damage as Don when he's at half health or less)
