This is i love about being Orthodox Christian: no matter are you Ethiopian,Japanese,Finnish or American, you are always like a real brother to me.This is real love, not western preached democratic love.God bless you all.
I pictured the MIRACLE of the incorupted body of Orthodox saint John Jacob from Hozeva in august 2009 in a pilgrimage to the Orthodox Holy Places in Israel.
Saint Ioan Iabob from Hozeva died in 1960. His intact body was found after 20 years, in 1980 in the cave in which he was burried, the cave in which he prayed all his life, and he was intact and had a superbe heavenly smell.
You can see the movie with the pictures in my profile, it is the first film,
It's always great to see orthodoxy in other parts of the globe. You can really see the consistency in each of the services. Being Serbian Orthodox, it's always great to see that no matter which language it's in, you always know exactly where you're at in the service.
I'm really loving this choir. They have a great sound, disregarding the size and sound quality.
whatever your leanings may be, i pity you for not appreciating the musical quality of the small choir, and your distate for the twelve bells on the censer ringing in harmony with that same small choir.
"The Orthodox Church is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman. It isn't non-denominational - it is pre-denominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended and died for the Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost 2000 years ago." Anon. .
@ThatIMayUnderstand The RC Church claims to be the original true Church founded by our Lord Jesus. The Protestant Churches for the most part say No! and they claim to be the True Church purified of Roman Apostate errors. The Eastern Orthodox claim to be the one true Church to the exclusion of the other two. I am thankful to Almighty God that I don't belong to any of the above confused organizations and their pompous arrogance and that I know our Lord Jesus as my Saviour and living Lord !
Well...I am not really sure, but I think there is a huge majority in Hokkaido then any other place of Japan, since Hokkaido has more Orthodox Chuches due to the Russian presence.
Actually, this IS an Eastern Orthodox Liturgy. The Eastern Orthodox have many different colored vestments that they wear throughout the year during divine services. Depending on the time of year these can be red or black (Lenten period), or, on Feastdays, they can be white, green, blue, or gold. The black that you are referring to is what the clergymen wear underneath their serving vestments, and it is what you see them in outside of services.

@UnTipPaul13 A mind of a fanatic. Say, does this god have a certificate that proves he is 'the only' and 'the true'?
