Just like the Beatles, the Byrds published several successful solo albums. No matter how much did this fabulous record cost, it's a timeless masterpiece!
I'd love to write a screenplay about Gene for an indie musical bio pic
maybe called 'Tomorrow is a Long Ways Away' - what great rich music and nobody knows about him anymore. A buddy saw him perform in LA right before he croaked - said he looked pretty burnt
I love so many of his songs from She Don't care about Time' up thru 'Delgado' and his fine later stuff
@Timophonic1 please do write.... just start, i for one think you're so right to want to honor this guy. And you know... journey of a thousands miles starts with a single step!
This is a masterpiece, i thing that this track could been a great single. I Cannot understand how No Other could fall. But like he says changes go so quikly, and today he recieves the prestige that he deserves. We Love you Gene And Thanks.
When you do what he did with 'No Other' or what Chilton did with Big Star, and no one buys the damned records, there's nowhere left to go. What are you supposed to do, wait around for 40 years till you're an old man and everyone says 'he was a genius'? No wonder these boys went off the rails.
truly genius songwriter- way under-rated- Gene Clark- one of the best!

I'd like to show LA music scene in early 60s - all those characters like Crosby and Stills, JA, Joni, Brian, Love, etc etc as kids trying to make it

Gene Clark found the unfindable. Best album ever. The outer limits of genius.
