Blizz didnt lose it's way, they're just out of enemies.

In Vanilla there was nobody known from WC3.

In BC there was a known Boss in every friggin raid, Kel, Illidan, Vash, Archimonde, Kil Jaeden...)

In Wotlk we only knew KelThusad and of course the Lich King and we have heard of Malygos before, but it was still awesome.

In Cata...DW and Raggi recycled. MoP will prop be all new.

Everything's dead already, is what you're mourning about.

Blizzard only made new content easier so it's more accessible to newer or casual players. It doesn't look good when only 2% of guilds ever manage to finish the endgame content.

I think they're heading in the right direction with the hard modes though. ToC in particular with it's normal and heroic versions of 10 and 25 player raids.

Normal modes are for most players with the optional harder content for hardcore raiders.

@AlvinYTP With gear the way it is, none of that matters. The better geared players go from 1-shotting you, to when you're just 2 tiers below them to 5-shotting you. Not to mention the whole World of Warcraft raiding system is the 11th level of hell to begin with.

Easier by comparison only, I'm afraid.

I find it sad that Ulduar even on hard mode hasnt been much of a challenge for a lot of organized guilds, I know guilds that have done full clears of Ulduar that in the BC days took weeks or months just to kill Kael'Thas, and im talking about server best guilds.

thats not true at all actually; the info for the cataclysm patch says that your still wagging war against the scourge when Death wing comes out of his hiding place and owns everyone in the face (lol). Plus blizzard said that cataclsm was just a patch that was so large it couldn't be just a patch, but its not a full expansion because you havn't killed the Lich King yet :D :P

@jmc59462 actually it is, the war against the Lich King will never end, it is basically a fight that must go on forever, just because Arthas is dead doesn't mean the war ended, because in Cataclysm, if you're alliance (thaurissian) or horde(that blood elf dude cant remember his name) they both state that he Lich King is dead, and that the Scourge is still quite frequent, there must always be a Lich King, and there must always be a Scourge. The only "war" is the containment of it.

Something I always enjoyed about the BC music was most of it was a Cello playing something dark, and other insturments would come in. The cello is always able to make things seem sad.

ill admit that Kil'Jaeden was a really hard boss but BT was the hardest raid in BC and may be tied with Uld or maybe a bit lower, but sunwell wasnt that great of a raid =/

BT was hard, but Sunwell was way harder... and both instances were really intresting.

Both instances are MUCH harder than the new WOTLK instances like Naxx or Ulduar.

@crazysticks1165 maybe you thourght that because bt was alot larger and it was hard to navigate through it if it is your first time plus they're more bosses and the dreaded councilers but sunwell is a hell of alot harder, are you a tank? because if you aren't then you don't know how hard brutalius is to tank if your a tank then what about healing on felmyst, where everyone gets constant debuffs on them so u need to heal constantly

@zehunterr no they put it in to finish the fight against the burning legion, many people thourght that illidan was the main villan of burning crusade due to the intro cinematic but kil'jaeden was the main villan as he was the leader of the burning legion

Kil'jaeden was the hardest boss in TBC, but Illidan always seems to get classed at the main end game boss for some reason.

True, Kil'Jaeden was kind of a boss getting his foot in the door at BC's end. He's kind of like Blizzard's answer to Necron from FFIX.

@JagaimoLoco he's nothing like necron, he's the leader of the burning legion, first you beat illidan and then theres only one more force of evil left to take out and thats the burning legion, it's quite a fitting choice for an endgame battle but i'm not sure that sunwell plateau was the right place to fight him but i guess it made it feel more dramatic

@brainjuice654 Kil'jaeden's position in the Legion doesn't matter. He definitely seemed like an oh-crap-we-need-another-endbos­s thing with the rest of Sunwell. Essentially, if Black Temple had been more drawn out, TBC could have ended there plotwise. Our fight with the Legion certainly didn't end with Kil'jaeden. Demons are still all over the place.

@JagaimoLoco but that would mean that in a later expansion you would have to return to outland which would annoy players as there would be no new map just to fight kil'jaeden, you have to fight him at some point. and the battle pretty much did end with the legion for now because they failed their plan

@brainjuice654 KJ is still very much alive and plotting on the burning legion's (not native) hoimeworld, argus. The homeworld (or previous homeworld) of the dranei / erodar. We will see KJ in the same x-pac as Sargeras im guessing, even thoguh I quit some time ago.

@kimahri45k thats because the night elves knew about illidan, no one knew about kil'jaeden at the time, so they featured illidan because he was the main force that was still alive at the time that the mortal races knew. the mortal races thourght that the legion were gone when archimonde died at the world tree which they were wrong. the legion were still there.
