  • Great video! Please send me this patch already done as mid file friend if you can. thanks beforehand.

  • Hi guys check out the prospects from Coventry in the UK they are trying to get fans on Facebook as possible they are only 13 and fantastic musicians!! They even have twins in the band and for the girls checkout harry :-)

  • Can you get Boston type harmonies from that thing? Say for a song like Peace of Mind?

  • Nice demo man, thanks very much

  • Im trying to make my gt-10 change the tuning on my guitar. The thing is that my band plays a lot of songs that have completely different tunings, some are in drop c, others in drop d, others in drop A, etc, so Im trying to have my guitar always tuned in drop c and changing the pitch of the guitar enough so that I can get the sound of drop a. I know theres gotta be a way to do it! have you done this?

  • @JayEm225 That's just silly since they are all drop tunings.. I bet your only chugging on the lowest string.. Why would you even write songs in different tunings when it doesn't affect the way you play them.. No, just no..

  • @Mordehm No I'm not, I play covers, covers that are in different tunings, it is not that practical to have to tune after everysong, and having to choose the songs we are going to play based on tuning is not our favorite thing to do, I can play bud, I dont just chug on the lowest string.

    Cheers

  • @JayEm225 Alright, in that case my best advice is to transpose the songs. Play a drop C song in drop D for example. If you are gonna alter the pitch you are going to have latency, and latency is bad :P. Besides the latency it will alter your tone in a bad way.

  • @Mordehm I know the thing is the singer cant transpose a song like, for example, Before I forget to drop c, but well I'll just tune on beer breaks or somethin no big deal haha.

  • @JayEm225 I had faced the same problem before...and I also use the same technique to cover different songs...I made different patches for different songs, all with the proper tuning...I only tune my guitar in Drop D, and the rest of the thing does the GT10...I use the FX1 immediate after the guitar input in the FX Chain...I use the Pitch Shifter to drop down the tuning (i.e. : half or full step down etc, as per the requirement of the song)...I keep the direct level at 0 and the PS1 level at 100.

  • is it possible to do a 3-voice harmony?

    For example, to add a 3rd AND a 5th?

  • @lunatico0258 well you could try puting FX1 on harmonizer and FX 2 on harmonizer too, and set different harmonies to them, havent tried it though

  • I'm really liking the demos. Now if only I could find a similar one for the rp500 or rp1000 then I can truly make up my mind about which one to get.

  • nice demo,,,ta

  • Beautiful, Harmonist and Octave makes it the greatest effect evar

  • alright mate, is it possible to just hear the harmonised part, and remove the original guitar signal? (effectively retuning the guitar to half a step down, C or B for example)?

  • @jjcvk Yeah, just use the de-tuner function.

  • Hey,

I read in your description that there are 2 effect ways, but ist has 4 :)

Use expression pedals 4 more fun.

  • great job

  • Comment removed

  • does this have a sound gate?

  • @MuseicianX

If you mean a noise gate, yes it has and you can do alot with it

  • @Frankyathell thankyou, i've been waiting 3 months for that answer

  • Sounds great. I've had GT-10 for a couple years but have never really played with the harmonizers.. I will now.

  • Can you tell me how to add both channels and then both effects???

  • can i do that with the boss gt-6 too?

  • that sounds beautiful w/ the harmonizers 1:17

  • hey man nice video i have a question how i can down 1 step the tune with the GT-10?

  • did you blend them together with the expression pedal

  • but is it a mathematical harmonizer? I mean, is it always by say major thirds, thus getting you out of key if you play a say E and youre in c major

  • @HyrulianWarlord No. You can dial in the key that you want to play in. In other words, it has intelligent pitch-shifting.

  • This thing actually has an option to program each note on your scale to whatever harmony note you want. Like a smart harmony.

  • :O i want one!

  • Esto es genial!

  • That harmonizer is better than my PS-5...I'm jealous! I really want this thing to replace my pedal board!

  • o.o dude...

  • very good video thx man!

  • what intervals can you choose on the harmonizer?

  • 1:27 is definitely worth lighting your lighter to \o/

However id definitely settle for a GT-8 or the ME-70

  • What distortion are you using? Is it from the GT-10?

  • Does it harmonize in scale?

  • sounds like strings section the song "mad pianos"!! beautiful

  • i just came dude 5/5

  • wow fucking A man!!!Love it!!!!

  • that sounds so fucking nice!

  • I wonder what will happen if you can somehow mic your voice into that harmonizer

  • I did that very thing last week it was pretty awesome

  • My friend, you need to record and upload a vid of it! I'm sure a lot of people will be interested to see what happens. :)

  • done it :) it works :D sounds awesum

  • I want one

  • Holy, freaking, shit.

    How much is it?

  • £300 :D but its totali worth it

  • AMAZING SOUND!!!!!

    it sounds sooo good!!

    i want that.

and nice tunes you were playing =]

  • @guitarsoccer1992: The ME-70 does have an absolutely impressive harmonizer effect along with others . You can go check out yourself.

Also, awesome video. The harmonizer sounds really great but it's like to many guitar sounds at the same time. It was almost like piano sound. But it did sound great, that why I give you 5 stars.

  • how do do you split the guitars when using 2 amps

  • i love the harmonizer sounds, does anyone know if the zoom g9.2tt has a harmonizer effects, or even the Boss ME 70

  • me 70 has harmonizer

but dont know how many controls

  • @elborio Do you know if the line6 pod x3 has a harmonizer?

  • @MrJackanthony no i dont think it does, but then again im not 100% sure

  • thanks

  • it does, but its not diatonic and it has awful tracking, so not really worth using

  • @chriscoooley Okay. Thanks a lot. What is diatonic? Ive heard the term lol.

  • can u do the harmanizer through 1 amp?

  • You can use 1 amp, but it sounds terrible. It's hard to describe, but the notes sound much harsher than if you used two amps.

  • yea i just got one today its preety cool

  • 3ths ftw

  • its good, but if you're going to use a harmonizer, use some good harmonies, i can't say I'm a fan of the lower octaves cause it just sounds too messy. I think its great but the idea of parralel harmonies such as parralel 5ths doesnt really apeal, it becomes boring after a while. If you're using it to record you're best to play each harmony which means you dont have to play boring parrallel notes therefore creating something more musical.

  • wtf thats the most retarding thing ive comprehended all day

  • Insulting people is not a valid comment. It is just an indicator to people of your level of bitterness in life.

  • I didn't feel like wasting my time typing something lengthy to you at 2:30 in the morning, so I opted to call you a fag instead. As he already said in his video he is the only guitar player, It's kind of hard to harmonize with only one person...

It isn't even feasible for most people to buy an organ anyway. How is playing an organ a better conservation of energy vs. the guitar? And even if he was going for an organ sound, why would he spend time learning the organ just to get the sound.

  • You have a good point. The ability to harmonize is certainly an great advantage. But if they expect people to throw away all other instruments then they are fooling themselves. True, an organ is out of reach of most people. But I would rather play it on a keyboard. There is a thrill in being able to play other instruments. Even Jimmy Hendrix used a comb and cellophane to get the sounds he wanted. I'm sure he would have used something like this if he were still around. Your points are valid.

  • this video was really cool I like this alot...

  • Can you change what the harmonized notes are going, like if don't want it to be octave you want it to be different can you?

  • @Chrizbrahh i believe you can

  • Can you do a video on using manual mode?

  • I dont get it, when you say major, is the master key supposed to be changed? And to which key, if so?

  • does the me 70 have pitch shifter

  • yes

  • the 2 octaves sound kinda cool actualy.

be really fun to shred with a drummer with tht bassy harmony over it.

  • i love the boss gt 10 but no money i will buy a me 20

  • dont!!!! buy the me 50 or the me 70 in this case.... the M.E: 20 sounds really bad, don't spend you money on it...you are going to hate yourself if you do it...

  • thnks for the info but is better have a boss me 20 tan a zoom g1 that is what i have an the sound isnt that bad and i know boss have better sound an its a little bit more expensive(zoom g1 70 dolars and boss me 20 like 200 or more)!!!!

  • Dont worry man, i had a Zoom 505 II before my ME 70 ( what a change!! :D), i know that sometimes could be depresive all the limitations that those pedals has but, my advice again is, save some extra money to buy something that will keep you happy and funtional for a couple of years.

  • absolutly love this

  • Hey does the gt-10 give more of a metal tone/sound on the harmonizer w/o it sounding like a synth/organ pipe?

  • your tone is absolutely brilliant !

  • im sold. i got to have my toys ok. my girl friend hates when i buy stuff, BUT I DONT CARE!!!!!!! ;P

  • @AhYaOk I bought one (BOSS GT-10). It rocks. I was contemplating whether this one , the Zoom G9 2tt or the RP1000. I like all of them but I want to get a second one now.

  • @AhYaOk WE DON T CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @AhYaOk hehe,i am like you.

  • @AhYaOk my brother thinks i buy music gear to "annoy him"

  • I want that pedal so bad! Great demo dude!

  • i think brian may wud love this :)

  • feel like i should pray

  • the harminizer reminded me of an organ

  • I wanna get one of these, the effects are byspassable right? although i wanna use effects i like my mesa boogies tone by itself? same question for the connecting dirrectly to the computer, if i have the GT-10 plugged to my amp then to the computer would that work? would i be able to record just my amp with no effects?

  • Hey, I own a GT-8, and if it's anything like the GT-10, it does not have "true" bypass. So if you wanted absolutely no effects, you best just unplug the gt-10, else it'll suck the tone a little.

Now, you should be able to do all the things you ask if you put your gt-10 in the effects loop from your amp.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

    Cheers

  • play some pinch harmonics with the pitch shifter enabled! nice for the bats

  • WTF it wil be insane!

  • would you personally recomend the GT 10?

  • absolutely!! Its everything a more, I feel very happy with my gt-10

  • Yeah, with this machine you could play the USA national song very nicly!! wehe

  • hahaha

  • i'll do it when i get mine next month

  • cool rug!

  • Hi, great vid. Just got this unit. Trying to replicate whqat you did here. Having trouble. The harmonizer from Fx 1, as you say, only gives me one option, a 3rd, 5th etc.... I am using the More than a A/B patch and not getting more than 2 harmonies. One from each "FX" patch. How are you getting 4..? I assume 2 for each channel but I;m having trouble. The manual is useless. Can U tell me how to achieve this? Thanks

  • do you have to set the key?

  • i have it, got it for xmas, but its pretty difficult to use!

  • play the trooper harmonies lol

  • what song were you playin?

  • more than a feeling by boston

  • I was wondering if it's possible to bypass the amp simulation, so I can use the Rectifier distortion on my Mesa head. Then route some effects (ie: delay, reverb) into the loop at the back of the head, and then route the Noise gate, compressor, Harmonizer to the front jack? Is there a way to do that (with the wire and the internal routing? Maybe using stereo pans or something...

  • I think it has dual outputs, but it would be best just to run in all in the effects loop

  • But how's the noise gate (to cut the feedback at high gain and volume) is going to react in the FX Loop?

  • it should just cut the feedback from the feedback and that will go into the poweramp.

  • that was incredible!!!! how much cost the boss gt 10??

  • 500$, its worth it

  • can someone please tell me if you can split the harmonies and the original guitar sound to left and right out? This is the only thing that i want to know before i buy one!

  • fantastic, BUT explain this better by saying what the name of AMP,and pl.give DETAILS,in short explain things for beginers .Thanx. Ty

  • Just wanted to say great videos thanks for the help, the GT10 is great and your playing is outstanding its nice to hear a very melodic player rather then death thrash shred all the time!! very refreshing you are making great music with her!!

  • holy f***! that´s so amazing and beautiful! Gonna get one soon as I have the money.. ffs! :D

    nice playing :)

  • these vids are great, can u tell me how u set up the hamanizer snd pitch shifter cause i can't do it, im absolutly useless with this pedal but the presets are awsome, by the way could u make the harmanizer have a twin guitar effect like thin lizzy used to have. Any help will be great thanks.

    Cheers Dan

  • Love this vid man! checked out some prises for the GT-10 soooooooo fuck the rent this month i'm getting one.

  • you can live under the gt-10 then xD

  • what amp do u use?!

  • If i have a tube amp. And i want to use this as my effects, but i wanna keep my amp sound is that possible?

  • in that case, get separate pedals, if you want my adivce

  • I use seperate pedals now, so i guess im on the right track.

  • there´s only one thing i don´t understand. how does the harmonizer recognize if it is supposed to, for example, play a major 3rd or a minor 3rd??

he was playing in C, but can the harmonizer recognize thirds and sixths in other scales???

if it can, then i´m definitely getting this one(i was choosing between this and the x3 live)

  • It can play in any major/minor scale in 3rds and i think 6ths...

  • you have to change what key you want it in

  • wow, fucking awesome.. saving money for this.

  • I can't get the harmonizer to sound right. It's very distorted and almost sounds like I'm playing a power chord instead of two distinct notes.

  • The only thing that I don't like with the boss gt-10 is the shitty Wha-wha..

    otherwise it's awesome

  • can 3 notes be played in the same time with harmizer like: una oct up and one oct down? cuz i get a really fuzzy, blurred sound, just like it's on the verge of exploading :-?

  • I dont think your supposed to use chords with the harmonizer, just single notes.

  • i'm from argentina and i would like to know where can i get a elecrtic kompany cd or at least download some songs from internet hjuiodpfyhucxo vyducfgdsy udgyzxu dys fsgyz uf

  • Id pay 400$ just to get the Harmonizer....

    lol

  • yeah I know, makes line 6 look 2nd rate...

  • So hey guys, for those who owns GT 10. How long have you guys had? I thinking buying line 6 or Gt 10 but not sure they will last long or not....if these don't last that long, Im thinking just getting compact ones...let me know guys

  • get the gt-10! I am looking at guitar fx pedals myself and i have read that this one is worth its money. The line 6 ones are a piece of crap. And this has usb! So u can record change create songs and etc...

    Hope this helps!

    Bye 4 now

  • pretty awesome!

  • damn better than digitech whammy

  • has the bass version got the harmonizer?

  • probably

  • yup

  • Hey pal what guitar are you using?

  • i got mine last week and i was also trying the harmonizers with the sinths

  • Hello, with this pedal, how many "diferent harmonies" can you have at the same time?

  • BOUGHT MINE TODAY WOOOO ONLY £300

  • The GT series kicks some serious butt.

    Brian May?

    Woot!!

  • hi littelvanhalen i have a pod xt live i dont think they aremutch good the gt10 sounds awsome compaird to the pod

  • sounds like a guitar playing with an organ, SWEET

  • man, thats a sweet idea, put on an organ sounding midi file and you got a great sound xD

  • NICE! like it! Wish I have the GT 10//

  • I was wondering if I could get someones opinion on what to get. i'v been looking at this and the line 6 pod x3 live and was wondering wich one would be better?

  • def gt-10

  • thats right man...i dont know what they put thumbs down...

    well...

    whatever

  • Thanks For all Demo ;)

  • sounds like some kind of hymn or anthem xD its great...

  • i need to get one!!!:|:|:|

  • Ok, I got the GT-10 and only had an hour and a half with it. The "More Than A Lead" patch is "Less Than A Useless" patch. Well, at least as a Boston sound emulator. Crap, the GT-6 came with two patches I could use for Boston even if they were only similar and still not the same. They must be somewhere there on the GT-10 and I will have to find them. I hope somebody makes some Boston patches. I don't have the time or patience to make my own and can't find it in the end anyway.

  • If the GT-8 had a USB, I would get it, to save money. That, and the loop, force me into getting this. Bye my GT-6. I don't like hearing that lower note with the harmonies but I can see where you'd need it, being the only guitarist in your band. It helps fill up the awful emptiness left when you start playing lead notes. Ofcourse, it only helps so much. Do you maybe have a keyboard player? That's where the loop comes in. I imagine you can save several loops to fill in on different songs, right?

  • i use the GT8 and have to say i prefer the GT8 over this one and why well all the effect banks and settings for this processor are all shoved on a few control knobs unlike my GT8 which has all i need for tweaking right in front of me in real hard turnable knobs it to me seems the GT8 seems more robust and has more in it compared to the GT10 hence i personally wont upgrade i say for hands on hardware style tweaking GT8 more digital interface GT10 excellent vid dude

  • with both harmonizers on it sounds like a church service!

  • OMG, what a nice harmonics!!

  • yeah but which brand won't?

    stupid comment at all
