Best Star Wars character ever in my opinion.
I am currently making a trilogy based on Knights of the Old Republic. Episode I: A NEW DESTINY will debut sometime in January or Feb. I would love to use peices of this music for them, especially when Episode III comes around.
I like this Revan tribute best, because it tells his whole life story without any high tech graphics. The music captures the essence of the old republic and moves you through the entire story.
I don't think considering Revan a true Sith Lord, as he did become a Jedi again.. and ran off to confront the ancient Sith as a Jedi not a Sith! Don't get me wrong I love Revan, but I don't think he ever completely fell not like Bane who was a true Sith Lord!

@MGS502 - You can if you mod the game. Just do a quick google search and you can find all sorts of mods for your character. The "good guy goatee" Revan is my favorite.
i think we can't actually measure who is more powerful, if Revan or Anakin, maybe Anakin would've beaten Revan in raw power, but Revan was a master strategiest and could control himself
Thank you all so much for your compliments! The sources I used to make this arrangement are, in order: KotOR March (a piece by Mark Griskey, composer of KotOR II's music), Transformers, Jade Empire, more Transformers, and finally an awful lot of Batman Begins. :)
Another thing I like about the KotOR games is that they do a much better job of explaining things than any of the movies do. Granted, the games have alot more content than the movies so they are better equipped to do that, but it seems like some of the things they describe about the force, cultures, droids and good/evil seem to make sense in a way. I for one deeply appreciate the extra mile the programmers went to and can't wait for the MMO!!! :D
In my opinion, this theme beautifully captures Revan's stuggles throughout his life. It made me tear up a litte too. Revan's story is very exciting but also very tragic. He seemed to have his shit together more than any Jedi/Sith/Force User I know of. Starkiller came close, but I think while that was a good game, it understated the devastatingly strong pull of the Dark Side. It was too easy for him to turn back. Anyway, great job Alex! I really enjoyed this.
The musical numbers I recognize in this are Batman Begins/Dark Knight, 007: Casino Royale (when Vesper dies), Terminator: Salvation, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. I'm not sure about the last two but they are all some of the most epic music in recent movie history so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm right. :)

Real power doesn't only show only in the techniques a jedi or sith is able to use. Revan was a brilliant strategist, the perfect leader, able to convert veryone and make them follow him. It was Revan who recovered ancient sith knowledge. He paved the way to the modern sith order because he understood the dark side even better than any lord before and most after. The rule of two was formed by him, not by Bane.
For example, he knew how to use the thought bomd, maybe the most devastating power a sith can use. He was the first sith claiming himself "Darth" and using a red lightsaber. Besides, he was maybe the best swordsman of his own time.
Revan's Jedi master, Kreia, who could see everything through the force, said that Revan appered like the heart of the force. His potential was enormous.

I know. But Darth Vader was kick-ass and Anakin just....wasn't. It was a bit of a letdown in my opinion, but you're right. No Anakin, no movies. Comparing him to Revan, however, should not be tolerated. ^_^

I found Anakin to be incredibly annoying. ^_^ Maybe it's just the script or the way he's acted, but to me he just looked like an angsty young kid who didn't want to grow up and face the world. Revan fell to the darkside out of necessity, to protect the galaxy from a darker threat, while Anakin threw away all his jedi teachings to get more power and to save the woman that he ended up strangling later on in the movie. -_- Anyways, that's my opinion. ^_^

Revan couldn't kill Anakin because they were born some few thousand years apart. But there is one similarity to both: Revan and Anakin were the greatest Jedi Knights of the Jedi Order the galaxy have ever known.
@Pascalone01 By "chosen one" they didn't mean that Anakin was a great warrior. They meant that Anakin would bring balance to The Force, and he did that through his son, Luke. Of course we all know there are many stories, games and short films set after Return of the Jedi, but If you just look at the original Trilogy, he did bring balance to The Force because at the time, George Lucas wasn't planning to tell any stories beyond after ROTJ.

Revan isn't a Sith, nor is he a Jedi. He is a misunderstood hero that sacrificed a lot for the Galaxy, including by extension his own sanity for what he felt was a good cause. He may have lost his mind, but he never fell to the dark side, or atleast intentionally, as he was too good willed.
What many seem to not understand is that the Revan we played in the game was by no extent inferior to what he was originally. He was the same great man with new perspective.
In fact he never lost his mind when he was being seduced by the dark side he didnt embrace it like everyone else. he grabed hold of it and forced it to do his will. Then used that power to try and save the galaxy

Yes he did, it's the holocron that describes the 'Rule of Two' to Darth Bane. In a way, Revan is entirely responsible for the Sith infrastructure we see as far into the future as in the movies.
Yeah, call me sad as you like. It's all true but I've always loved the storytellin in Star Wars. The little furnishings. The duels between light and dark when every little motion spells some significance to the state of affairs......Maybe that's just me but that's what I saw.

In all seriousness, though, the "canon" Revan was the story of a male Revan falling the path of the light side in KOTOR. That is how the character will be referred to in Star Wars canon.
People are correct about the canon Revan being lightside, It's in the Darth Bane books that he turned back to the light side as well. He may not have been the most powerful or even full time sith lord but will always be my favourite!
Revan was canon male lightside, the Exile doesn't actually have a canon yet, but they are currently leaning towards female. (And most likely lightside as it is a Lucas trend. Still waiting for an actual Sith game to come out.)

Statement: You assert that Revan is superior than the Lord of Betrayal since he has a full set of organic appendages.
Elaboration: However, in spite of her impairment, Kreia is capable of masterfully wielding three lightsabres simultaneously.
Conclusion: Revan, even with his two hands, has not proven his prowess in this regard. Hence, Kreia is superior.

i think we can't actually measure who is more powerful, if Revan or Anakin, maybe Anakin would've beaten Revan in raw power, but Revan was a master strategiest and could control himself

Thank you all so much for your compliments! The sources I used to make this arrangement are, in order: KotOR March (a piece by Mark Griskey, composer of KotOR II's music), Transformers, Jade Empire, more Transformers, and finally an awful lot of Batman Begins. :)

Another thing I like about the KotOR games is that they do a much better job of explaining things than any of the movies do. Granted, the games have alot more content than the movies so they are better equipped to do that, but it seems like some of the things they describe about the force, cultures, droids and good/evil seem to make sense in a way. I for one deeply appreciate the extra mile the programmers went to and can't wait for the MMO!!! :D

In my opinion, this theme beautifully captures Revan's stuggles throughout his life. It made me tear up a litte too. Revan's story is very exciting but also very tragic. He seemed to have his shit together more than any Jedi/Sith/Force User I know of. Starkiller came close, but I think while that was a good game, it understated the devastatingly strong pull of the Dark Side. It was too easy for him to turn back. Anyway, great job Alex! I really enjoyed this.

The musical numbers I recognize in this are Batman Begins/Dark Knight, 007: Casino Royale (when Vesper dies), Terminator: Salvation, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. I'm not sure about the last two but they are all some of the most epic music in recent movie history so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm right. :)

Real power doesn't only show only in the techniques a jedi or sith is able to use. Revan was a brilliant strategist, the perfect leader, able to convert veryone and make them follow him. It was Revan who recovered ancient sith knowledge. He paved the way to the modern sith order because he understood the dark side even better than any lord before and most after. The rule of two was formed by him, not by Bane.

For example, he knew how to use the thought bomd, maybe the most devastating power a sith can use. He was the first sith claiming himself "Darth" and using a red lightsaber. Besides, he was maybe the best swordsman of his own time.

I"M NOT EXAGARATING HERE!!!! the ancient Jedi were much better fighters then the newer aged ones. they also have a better mastery of the force. As kriea says in KOTOR 2, We are but children playing with toys compaired to the sith of old.

I know. But Darth Vader was kick-ass and Anakin just....wasn't. It was a bit of a letdown in my opinion, but you're right. No Anakin, no movies. Comparing him to Revan, however, should not be tolerated. ^_^

@RinluJedi - I have to disagree, actually. I found Anakin to be incredibly annoying. ^_^ Maybe it's just the script or the way he's acted, but to me he just looked like an angsty young kid who didn't want to grow up and face the world. Revan fell to the darkside out of necessity, to protect the galaxy from a darker threat, while Anakin threw away all his jedi teachings to get more power and to save the woman that he ended up strangling later on in the movie. -_- Anyways, that's my opinion. ^_^

Revan couldn't kill Anakin because they were born some few thousand years apart. But there is one similarity to both: Revan and Anakin were the greatest Jedi Knights of the Jedi Order the galaxy have ever known.

@Pascalone01 By "chosen one" they didn't mean that Anakin was a great warrior. They meant that Anakin would bring balance to The Force, and he did that through his son, Luke. Of course we all know there are many stories, games and short films set after Return of the Jedi, but If you just look at the original Trilogy, he did bring balance to The Force because at the time, George Lucas wasn't planning to tell any stories beyond after ROTJ.

@Pascalone01 Revan was indeed powerful, but the whole point of anakin was that he was destined to balance the force. He was very powerful, but no where near the most powerful jedi of all time. He had his role in history, and so did revan. I think it would have been interesting to see how they would have performed in reversed positions.

Revan isn't a Sith, nor is he a Jedi. He is a misunderstood hero that sacrificed a lot for the Galaxy, including by extension his own sanity for what he felt was a good cause. He may have lost his mind, but he never fell to the dark side, or atleast intentionally, as he was too good willed.
What many seem to not understand is that the Revan we played in the game was by no extent inferior to what he was originally. He was the same great man with new perspective.

In fact he never lost his mind when he was being seduced by the dark side he didnt embrace it like everyone else. he grabed hold of it and forced it to do his will. Then used that power to try and save the galaxy

I think that Claw means we will recieve a holocron about him because it would screw up canon if we find his holocron on Lehon before Darth Bane does. Unless out of shear awe we find it but don't touch it and leave it there.

Yes he did, it's the holocron that describes the 'Rule of Two' to Darth Bane. In a way, Revan is entirely responsible for the Sith infrastructure we see as far into the future as in the movies.

The literal meaning of the word prodigal=lavishly extravagant but that doesn't make much sense to me here.
I remember back at school the teaching of the prodigal son. Going out in search of adventure before returning home full of remorse.
Darth Revan the enigmatic, dark-deviant of the galaxy. Upon hence returning to the light as a consequence of his blanched mind, a second chance to find honesty in teachings stale, long forgotten.

It's a giant Canon Lord Revan mounted onto his Sith Starship when he was invading the Republic. It was so powerful, it was written, that it had the ability to rip a planet asunder into many different pieces... In all seriousness, though, the "canon" Revan was the story of a male Revan falling the path of the light side in KOTOR. That is how the character will be referred to in Star Wars canon.

People are correct about the canon Revan being lightside, It's in the Darth Bane books that he turned back to the light side as well. He may not have been the most powerful or even full time sith lord but will always be my favourite!

Revan was canon male lightside, the Exile doesn't actually have a canon yet, but they are currently leaning towards female. (And most likely lightside as it is a Lucas trend. Still waiting for an actual Sith game to come out.)

cofuse greatly i am..which is the real ending of KOTOR..if the light side is the real ending and the histories of Revan's redemption is not in the Jedi's Achieve's and libary on Couscant..not saved in there even 3,5000 years in the Star wars films...but i'am sure the exile would meet Revan as the ebon hawk was once his..Revan abandon in known space right....but Kriea cofuse me words of Revan in KOTOR 2..as if KOTOR Real ending is the Dark side..@_@
