DSLRS can give you a comparable looking image for under $2,000 where Alexa is in the $70,000 range is Red is in the $30,000-50,000 range.

Film is Film and Digital Video is Digital Video! They're different formats! But I do giggle at what is done in POST to dslr footage... reminds me of shudder rolling box of crayolas framed within an elliptical feathered mask! ;)
