Growing up, I never followed sports and now, at 20 years old, I still don't. My only heroes growing up were men such as Joe Foss, "Gabby" Gabreski, Robert S. Johnson, David McCampbell, and Richard I. Bong. I wish I had had the opportunity and privilege to meet Joe and I hope those kids eventually realize the quality of the man they met. When I visited Arlington Cemetery for the first time, this summer, Joe Foss was at the very top of my list of graves to visit. Thank you and God bless you. RIP.
I had the Pleasure and Honor to meet and talk with Joe a few times. A True 100% American "Hero" R.I.P. Joe, ...Your very much missed but Never Forgotten! Hope these kids some time down the road figure out they had the Honor to have a Marine Corp Hero take the time to visit them and give them advice.
