Can anyone help me? My greyhound is used to sleeping in my bed and now i am trying to move her back into her Crate which is about 5 feet away from my bed. And whenever i put her in her crate she starts whining to get back in, it is so annoying that i have to. once again, can someone help me.
Skye is funny - and gorgeous! My grey, Missy, does this (but without the joy) when you tell her 'no' about something. It's her way of having a tantrum.
What a gorgeous grey you have! Loved watching the video, he looks a very happy boy. I have two greyhounds (both adopted from the Isle of Skye as it happens). They are the best breed!
With my greyhound, if something (no matter how small) is in her way she will just stand there whining until we move it. She's a bit dim but I still love her :)
Your dog looks so much like my dog, Artemis. She is my buddy. She often makes her bed, but she's awful at it and always makes it worse. Then she wants me to fix it for her. She's very entertaining.
I have a miniature that does the same thing. It's as bad as waiting for them to find the absolute perfect spot to go number 2 at the dog park. There is only one spot in the park that will do, and they will search for 10 mins to find it. Then they have to do the victory scratch when done with their business like they really accomplished something special.

dude.... you may think its fun but really that dog is showing frustration.
But thats ok you are no dog whisperer and fail at trying but its ok letting the dog act out its frustration for what a noob you are. The dog is really saying it wants to play with you..... big dummy!
the dogs just happy and probbably wants a teddy to play with its not angry you idiot and noob is old very very old and if you use it on youtube it means your a retard that has nothing else to sat
My hound Gracie (rip) did the exact same thing. I swear, it took her 5 hours to get it right. They're building a nest. Since they have virtually no fat, it's hard for them to get comfortable on a flat surface. And no, they don't do the same to anything else, except maybe a bunch of pillows if you let them on a bed.
Best dog I ever knew, very sweet and gentle. I hope to get more someday.
It's just fun. Kinda strange - and hard on the bedding, but fun. Greys are smart, and like any other dog, they're similar, but every one is unique. Skye never chewed anything. and has never knocked anything over, But he did get the top off peanut butter jars. And cordial bottles. So, very smart, but still a dog. You have to be top dog, or he (she?) will take that place lickety split, and you'll find yourself cooking steak, medium rare, on demand. Have fun with your hound.
We are picking our greyhound up on Saturday. Why do they do this? Does any owners out there have any advice for us? I am afraid he will destroy our home. We bought him a bed similar to this, but I am afraid he will do this to some of our furniture.
No don't worry greyhounds don't do that. They are very clean animals and very laid back but you will already know this by now as you posted your comment three weeks ago.
Yes. Now that we have had him for a while. He has never done this to his bed. He is sooo laid back. He is a 2 1/2 yr old male. Best behaved dog I have ever had. He was house broken from day one. The only problem is, he likes to spend most of his time sleeping upstairs away from us. We have no children and are a quiet couple. I don't know why he likes to be alone so much.
i just got a retired greyhound 2 weeks ago. she goes crazy like this for two minutes and then just lies down and falls asleep. they are so weird but i love them. :)
The greyhound isn't playing with the bed. They like very soft beds such as a single/duvet with cover and they like to rake them into a nest type bed. This greyhound was trying to make a nest but the bed is too small and not flexible enough.
on here own she take all the bedding off my bed /her bed so when get back my bedroom a mess still she my sweetie and she got a thing for underwear she takes them and puts them in her bed.
When my parents got their second greyhound she did this the first night we had her. It was her way of telling us she wanted a bed the same as their other greyhound.
my dog used to do that to every bed we got him so we eventually gave up n he sleeps on my bed with me or he sleeps on the couch or where ever he pleases...he's so spoiled...he's a spoiled brat actually...lol....
MacMacMansions, thank's for your comments. Your dog has other skills, like making his own bed, hahaha. And congratulations, your dog is really nice!!! Thank's !!! We have tried to teach our dog as many things as possible, but the one that appears in our video it has been the hardest and also the funniest to watch. The translation of "neteja" means "to clean" in catalan, our language in Catalunya. Good luck !
I have seen these guy turn in complete circles up to 40 times! They have to have their beds exactly right! Wonderful animals. I would not tak $10,000 for mine!
I just came her because Hank was here. I don't know why. DFTBA.

The key isn't in the making the perfect bed, but tiring yourself out to the point that you will be willing to sleep on any goddamn thing.
