  • I had this on vinyl when I was a kid! \8-D

  • Our children's choir did this in like 1978....I remember "Whir Whir Chicka Chickabom bom Pzzzzt" and the "I borrowed a watch from my brother" song. There was something that involved a Hawaiian gesture too....

  • lol! It's like a christian version of yellow submarine! XD

  • lol funny im high as fuck an jus remmebered this hahaha ... 1 41 am

  • best song EVA so if you dislike it ur a retard

  • I had this album, book, and Nathaniel the Grublet, and Cranston Thorndike and the Dragon.

Me and my best friend would always sing the songs and when I grew up and became a preschool teacher I used the "Patience" song with my students and they LOVED it.

  • A teacher I know used to sing "Be Patient" with her music class to teach the kids values - I shudder to think how much that would be frowned upon in state education today!

  • Aw, this brings back such wonderful memories. Here I am, 22, and still loving this <3

  • I model my life after Mr. Pimms example.

  • @Skymouth - I too know a different song.. the one with whir whir in it too! Had the cassette tape and booklet! Knew every song on it!

  • this was my childhood :)

  • @ilovemyselfbetter

  • Our elementary school put this play on when I was in the fourth grade. I got to play Nancy. Sure brings back some memories.

  • the 1 I remember went:

Music Machine, Music Machine/Like no other gadget that you've ever seen/Whatever you want to sing about/Put something in it and a song comes out

Music Machine, Music Machine/Like no contraption that you've ever seen/It starts a-smokin' and shakin' the ground/And the Music Machine always makes this sound/ It goes...Whirr-whirr-chuka-chuka-bomp-bomp-psst/Whirr-whirr-chuka-chuka-bomp-bomp-psst/If you want to hear a song/Whir-whir-chuka-bomp-bong/

    (Instrumental verse)

  • Wooooooow. Good times.

  • @underlinedbluetext ah. well no worries bro. I watched this video on a whim, so it's not like my life is ruined. I just remember being horrified as a kid, when the whole ordeal happened. And I'd like to see how I perceive it now :)

    thx for uploading

  • @underlinedbluetext Didn't someone try to steal the music machine in this movie? Do you have a clip of that?

  • LOL, i love the tags on this video

  • What?!? They animated this? This song is so much worse than the original album.

  • @raggedyandroid this one is much better, way bouncier and happier, better to listen to as a kid

  • What???!!! I arranged and produced the album "Music Machine", and I have NO IDEA where this song came from. Really lame tune and sound effects. Way NOT to go.

  • Reminds me of willy wonka. What this should really be called is a " CAlliope " or how about " Band Organ"

  • Have'nt herd this in a long time.

  • i wish someone would post gentleness from music machine... my mom would sing it to me every night before bed when i was little i love that song

  • The conductor is one of the greatest animated characters EVER!!!!!!

  • Ha! I sing it to my son now. I better be careful ;)

  • Is that a Dr.Seuss Cartoon?

  • I LOVED THIS MOVIE

  • I'd never seen the video of this, I had the vinyl album and used to just love it! But I seem to recall a different song, the 'whir whir chickabonk' song being the main theme.

  • yeah they sort of redid the musical for a cartoon version in the early 80's. I had the LP for this and Bullfrogs and Butterflies - was a bit different for sure! Original was better...but this was something I watched as a kid too and really loved it.

  • That was my favorite song. The conductor sounds different too.

  • "cuz the music machine always ... makes...this...sound. it goes whir whir chika chika bom bom psst" I had the vinyl to and I seem to remember a song about string that i used to love.

  • @Skymouth I do too. The songs and the cartoon drawings are as I remember it. I too only had the vinyl album and never seen the video but I sure remember the songs from it!

  • @Skymouth

Me too....I've still got the vinyl album and yeah, i remember the same song

  • HOLY CRAP this cartoon is frikin scary...............if I saw this when I was a kid I would have nightmares for sure. Are those kids high? The record of the music machine was what Ihad and it came with like a comic. I loved that record to death. This cartoon is frikin weird.

  • never saw the movie but have the cds that have the 1st and 2nd music machine.

  • So wierd. I had a CD called the Music Machine when I was like 3 yeras old, and it was a lot like this, but I remember the song being different. The other songs on the CD were all about the Fruits of the Spirit... lost it a long time ago. Wierd to see the movie thoug, I didn't know there was one.

  • FLASH BACKS!!!! lol I wasn't even 2 when I saw this, Lordy!
