Naruto seriously copied off of Ninku. Talk about not having any sense of originality. Ninku originally used rasengan and NOW some blonde ninja reject stole the idea. I dont mind if people *thumbs down* my comment if you like but it's the cold hard truth.

I just saw a few episodes of Ninku. I saw a Japanese video clip where they called it rasengan and the snake guy call his technique sabaque and sabaksoso (gaara)

in this vid i saw where they got the ideas for naruto, orochimaru, Asuma, Temari, and zabuza... But i will say i like that hand seal aspects added by naruto's creators. This of course is a classic, but don't just knock out naruto because its newer and innovated from this.. As far as trying to QQ about who ripped off who, when was the last original idea released for television/movies/games well just about anything now a days that isn't a rip off of something pre 1999?

@pimpdadysuperman um, once again you can't really call it plagiarism, and as far as the "underdeveloped characters" some people enjoy watching characters develop throughout a series. BTW, you're so right, ninku was the 1st ever show to portray ninjas as supernatural humans that use the elements to fuel their awesome powers (shakes my head). I could use examples but like i said in the last line of my prior comment, seriously, name 1 fully original show/anime/movie in the past 10 years

@AoiMitsuko I might throw out NGE or FLCL. No Ninku was definelty not the first ninja anime but heck it was copied and adapted into shit. Yeah even Star Wars was supposed to be based of Flash Gordon but they made it different enough to stand on it's own. Naruto ripped of too much though from Ninku that it's just so blatantly obvious. It's the sheer quantity of stuff they jacked.

The original Ninku manga was released several years before the first Naruto short.
