I just had to pay backtaxes yesterday (HRBlock mixup, not me pulling a Tim Geithner) and when I called I said "I live here, I'm happy to pay my taxes". The colonists would have happily paid taxes if they got to vote in Parliament. And it was Parliament who denied them, not George III. The Rev. War is right up there with Lincoln wanting equality and WWII being to save the Jews, or "discovering" America as history inaccuracies

We fought against "the tyranny of King George" because it would be hard to convince colonists to fight against the democratically elected officials of the House of Commons. We called them Kingland because it served our purposes, but it was inacurrate

I love some of the messages the right have, but when so many of them believe nonsense it's hard to care.  I'm for decentralization and for removing federal bureaucracies and transparency for the ones we have, but I believe that Obama is better than Bush and is a great example of a well-read American. I appreciate a president with the balls to quote the Quran after 9/11 with all of the hatred of anything muslim/Arab and those that call him a terrorist for it need to go back under a rock.
