I can't play disc 2, i completed disc 1 but disc 2 of grandia 2 cannot be played....

Your disc is probably scratched all to hell I advise a CD cleaning device. If that doesn't work then search around the net for disc cleaning ideas.. Theres tons..

oh my god i loved this game on my dreamcast, unfortunately my dreamcast (or game or possibly both) have died... i guess i'll have to find it on ps2 before its gone :[

You could just get a new Dreamcast on Amazon or something. The DC version is the better one, I've heard.

Actually Dreamcasts go pretty cheap on EBAY. Usually you can get a few games with it. This game however may be more difficult to come by.. Might be expensive as well.
