@voccontact - we use a #2....we start with a 3 and finish up with a 2. If it's not short enough then...you can always go to a number 1. She is so frisky after her haircuts! Make sure to tell yours her how pretty she is...make a big deal about it...especially if she's never been shaved. The first sheltie we got...we shaved her and the first time I saw her I laughed and she would not leave the house.

We lost our bi-black sheltie almost 6 years ago to kidney failure. We burried her in the pouring rain and it broke my heart and I didn't think we'd ever get another one. This special little girl has brough back the love into the house for my whole family. They don't replace the ones lost, but they bring in a whole new love...you can love again. I hope you give it a try!
She is such a sweet little soul! She does shed ALOT! She gets a haircut twice a year. She cracks me up how frisky she gets when she gets "naked" ha ha. Thanks for the comment!

what # of trimmer did you use on her fur? i'm going to trim my sheltie this summer so her fur doesn't clog up our pool filters.
