I am kinda new to pc/xbox cooling. What is the advantage/ disadvantage of having a cooling system on the xbox 360? I am a big gamer but don't really go into the technical side of my systems. Is there any advantage I can have to adding a cooling device other then keeping my systems cooler? Like will it help with lag or anything like that?

@dcccapfan there really isnt.... xbox doesnt let you overclock or increase in cpu voltage and you destroy your warrenty pulling crap like this... if you get red rings it is covered by warrenty.

pc on the other hand say you have an semi outdated machine and you want to overclock your hardware.... that will produce a lot of heat enough to fry the damn hardware if you just use stock cooling so liquid cooling is an alternative to not fry your shit..

I guess there was some poor internal design and that lead to a lot of overheating giving peeps the RROD. Probalby wouldn't be needed for todays 360's. It is ignorance that leads people to believe that only overclocked processors should be watercooled. I overclocked my 360 bacause it ran hotter than my overclocked and air cooled pc.

My pc leaked distilled water all over my hd 5870 and all down my motherboard and lots of other delicate places,i didnt realise for about 15 mins until i saw a puddle on the floor.

I fixed the leak,cleaned out the water and dried the card and mobo with hairdryer and was using it an hour later,the pc ran for 15 mins without any damage with distilled water all over electrical components.
