I hated this movie. Aside from the story being dumb, Renee and Harry were horrible in it. Both of them were so ugly to look at. Renee looks anorexic and Harry looks like a big ol grizzly bear. They had no chemistry whatsoever. This movie is really boring and the jokes are obvious. And I hate in movies where they go to a small town and they have everybody be dumb and gullible. It's offensive. Hollywood acts like the only cool people live in LA.
Nah, I live in North Dakota, right on the border of MN and Canada and I thought this was a pretty accurate representation of the weather, and the friendly people. The accents were way off, but I can see what they were trying to do. I thought it was pretty cute. It's nice to see a movie with snow up North, rather than shot out of LA or NYC.
Just watched this the other day on DVD. I was pleasantly suprised. As rom-coms go, this was not only watchable, I enjoyed it a lot. My husband was cracking up too at the supporting roles. Overall, worth a watch.
