  • @DiscoGekHelptNED

Hi, Thanks for the comments. The answer is in the title ;-) The composer is Hans Zimmer and the song is Injection. It's from the film Mission Impossible 2.

    Cheers

  • this is a free programmed show for LDS. The Show designer is DJ Noboddy! you did not create this show by yourself ;) but btw. nice projector

  • Just some corrections to your post. Compare both the videos side by side, they may start similarly, but that is where it ends. DJ Noboddy uses a far superior analogue projector and you will also notice there is far more 'detail' in his show. I do not know whether his show is a free one for LDS as I've never used it, but this one was designed from scratch using Moncha. You can't even import things into Moncha. But yes, the basic inspiration to my show was DJ Noboddy.

  • @beaker1306 ahh ok ;)

  • Rgbv

  • Exellent work! <3 If you watch this in full screen you get hypnotized...

  • hi thanks for previous replies could you please tell me if the blue/violet diode is 404nm of 473nm many thanks

  • hi could you please give me the item number on ebay and in this does this video the laser analogue modulation many thanks

  • Hi. If you do a search for "NRG laser" on eBay it will list all the lasers from this manufacturer. They don't appear to have the 475mW listed at the moment, but any of the 400-500mW lasers are similar (RGB with ILDA interface and Moncha Lite). The one in this video is TTL not Analogue. cheers.

  • hi thanks i was just wondering if it was rgb or RGBv so with a violet diode instead of 473nm blue also have found this on ebay is this the same as yours item number 120525419182 many thanks

  • great show....;-)...looking forward to my nrg laser (2,7 W RGB)

  • Hi Beaker great responses cheers and I will be eagerly waiting to see ure next show yep that is what I am after a bit of a learning laser just out of curiosity and you can tell me its none of my bizz but they have a make offer on one with Moncha software did you make them an offer and how much did you pay.

Like I say if its personal tell me to keep me neb out =))

    Cheers

  • Hey Smudge331, just so everyone else doesn't think I'm ignoring you, I've sent you a PM (which you've already seen!). New video being uploaded now....

  • Hi firstly loved ure show looks great well done. Now I am thinking of getting one of theese lasers but a bit put off by the 12 pps scanners what your opinion. Also what use do you use this projector small venue big venue and how does it cope.

    Cheers

  • Hi, thanks for the comments :-)

12pps seems to be ok for beam shows. A lot of the flickering you see in the video is emphasized by the refresh rate of the laser and the refresh rate of the camcorder (in this case a Nokia N97 mini) interfering with each other. So in real life the flickering isn't half as noticeable. To be honest I got the laser for fun as it's something I've always wanted to get into, and have so far only done some family shows at home. (continued in next post as run out of....

  • .... characters)

I am doing a disco for my 7yr old son in a couple of weeks in a hired hall. I have 6 ACME scanners and two of the lasers. Trouble is, the council owned hall has sensitive smoke detectors so using a smoke machine will be out. I'm toying with using a hazer for a little bit, just to highlight the beams. If I can't use anything then I'll just have to aim the lasers at the ceiling to project the patterns. Bit disappointing though :-( (continued in next)

  • I've completed another piece to music which is actually one of the shows which come with the Moncha software. But the way is comes as a demo it's not in sync at all or to the beat (very annoying), so spent about 4 hours adjusting it to get all the beams in sync and on the beat. I'll post it probably this weekend (once the wife is out and I can fill the conservatory with smoke again ;-) ).

My honest opinion about this laser is that for the money (Moncha software and USB ILDA DAC included) >>>

  • it's excellent as a first laser. Once you've got the bug, mastered the initial beam shows (You can also do animations with Moncha) then you may want to upgrade to 20pps scanners or higher... personally I'd upgrade to analogue RGB before upping the pps... with analogue modulation you can then get thousands of colours by dimming each laser rather than just it on or off. I'll let you know how the disco goes, and whether I get to use a bit of smoke. Keep an eye for the other show this weekend.

  • very nice :)

  • Bravo
