Skin bleaching is so ugly. Poor girls if only they knew. If u have a dark skinned persons facial features with light skinned it looks crazy as hell or vice versa. Besides real Jamaican guys would prefer a real "browning" than a bleach out face gyal anyday.

there are many safer alternatives to skin lightening without harmful chemicals. there are all natural products that even India uses on women to lighten their skin without harsh ingredients. when these products are not used correctly they can destroy the entire body.

Anytime you go beyond doing something in moderation or as recommended, it will lead to destruction-perms, bleaching, medication, etc. One of the ladies interviewed had VERY unhealthy and uneven skin after 10 years. How ironic.

For those people talking down to these individuals. While I agree this is a very unfortunate situation, I don't see any much difference between bleaching your skin and perming your hair which is widely accepted throughout the U.S. They both can have the same harmful long term effects and both trends were started for the same reason.
