Many things about this movie remind me about Carrie such as the telekinesis, overly religious mother, horror prom night. Except the girl is a bitch who was caught on fire.

Seriously, this movie has all the elements that make it an 80's pop-corn-coated camp classic! It remains one of my favorites: it has stylised humor, female possession, mawkish winks to De Palma ( complete with locker-room nudity), and impish over-the-top death scenes that look like they've taken place in the same High School as The Breakfast club! The ending is cute, too.

the only thing it really has in common with "carrie" is the prom death scene. everything else is a bit different, and actually really fun. very eighties, but fun. i loved it when i was a kid!
