I love pea coats and they're great to use instead of (suit)jackets if you're experiencing rain and can afford to look casual. They offer so many cool options, but these ones are SO STUPENDOUSLY DULL, seriously a zip-up and a shirt? Get that ''blend-into-the-pavement'' look. Consider grabbing a bow tie, a gingham, chinos and interesting, colourful details. Feel a bit more adventurous? Throw on a double-breasted 4/2 white black tie waistcoat, tartan trousers and black shoes with white(-ish) spats.

i think u should,if its at 69$ then yes pick it up. But if u see a perry ellis wool peacoat around in the same place do a comparison and hold them both up. perry ellis coats range from 80 to 100 dollars.oh and if u want i dont know if its ur style or not but flathats go very well with a peacoat :D.

my pea coat is so awsome, i got alot of stares at the mall and compliments (go for the wool) and if ur feeling trigger happy go for a couple of turtle neck shirts and Givenchy play intense cologne and ur set my friends :)

@randomrazr when i went to checkout 3 different kinds of pea coats at the mall, i found the american eagle one my second fav, but the one to go for in my opinion is Perry Ellis (wool).pea coat.

Before you all fritter away top dollar on so called 'designer' peacoats, remember that they're a military design...and that is all the 'designers' are doing, copying a very basic and classic design. So you can get an excellent condition or even BRAND NEW version of the real deal, the original wool naval peacoat, from surplus stores or eBay (and the naval ones are often treated to be waterproof...stick that up yer ass, Ralph and Calvin). I got a brand new waterproof naval peacoat for £60!

I just bought one from pac-sun for 100 dollars, I love rockin it out with my affliction shirts and jewelery. As soon as I tried it on in the store, a hot blonde walked up to me and said I looked good in it, that made my day, lol. \m/

Old Navy currently has a sale on Outerwear (up to 50% off). Plus they have a 30% off Stuff And Save. The Peacoats there are regulary $80. With both of these sales which you can combine the coat is around $26 + tax.

However, there are issues with Old Navy's tailoring when it comes to Outerwear. So I'm at a indecision right now. I only have this weekend to get the incredible deal. I could skip it and get a real peacoat from an Army and Navy Surplus store, I guess.

I just bought and returned my peacoat from the Old Navy sale.  They're nice, but I'd keep searching for the real thing. Do you live in NYC, by any chance? If so, I have a good piece of advice for you.

Really? Oh, well. The thing is I ordered it online. It came in the mail on Wednesday. I've worn it out a couple of times. It does feel a little "rough." I kinda new that already, though. I just don't have the money for an expensive one. I can't complain for $26 dollars I guess. It's a tad tight where the arms are, and one of the buttons is misaligned. Sleeves will have to be tailored, but so don't most Pea coat jackets so I hear.

That was the Black Friday sale. You must have gone in on Wednesday, right? I think they would have been closed on Thursday. You could have brought your receipt in and got the money off I think. If not, maybe you could have returned the jacket and rebought it. How does it fit? My sleeves are too long (they go a little past the knuckles). Will cost $25 or more to get them tailored.

I hate Old Navy because their quality clothes suck. Like, I hate paying a lot of money for clothes, but I like to know my clothes don't break down. You're better off buying one from GAP.

i have never seen a pea coat with zip it just ruins them. They're always with nice big buttons.
