Walt (thinking): Same thing that's about to get into you. HEISENBERG

    Skyler moans.

  • So...were you at any point planning on stabbing me with that broken piece of plate?

  • @511Garcia harvey sucks que viva LA MANO !!!!

  • Walt? Is that you?!

  • golden brown¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Sounds like The Stranglers.

  • @legunncat Sounds nothing like The Stranglers!

  • @fionnoc Like BillHicksCensured said, Golden Brown.

  • *Negra... oops hehe

  • "Out Of Time Man" is originally by Mano Negro. Mick's cover is Iggy/The Passenger-esque... I love it. Definitely press repeat like 20x everytime I play it!

  • I am the one who knocks

  • ye breaking bad !

  • Anyone brought here by breaking bad?

  • Cover song of Mano Negra - Out of time man ;)

  • @leikat u mean the passenger?

  • "You have to be 30 feet away from the door to smoke." "Then wheel me further, Bitch!"

  • eeeh, people, the passenger???

  • @alejandrolopezcinca the singing pattern reminds you on passenger yeah, music though is completely different.

  • SKYLER: Was this you?

    WALT: I won.

*this song starts playing, Walt hangs up, Skyler is in disbelief*

  • I Won

  • Dexter was good in the first 2 seasons. Now it's trite.

  • @6008735rd there are a lot of surface similarities between breaking bad and dexter -- sympathetic characters doing bad things, desperately trying to hide that from their friends/family while dealing with their demons. i love dexter, but breaking bad is just on a completely different level. dexter comes prepackaged as an almost comical "bad guy," while breaking bad traces the gradual disintegration of walt from bumbling and well-meaning to menacing and often violent, fully consumed by his demons.

  • What a song! Thanks Breaking Bad. Just started watching it after finishing Seasons 1-5 of Dexter. Is BB as good? After two episodes, I'm wanting Dexter to appear and teach them both how to kill efficiently.

  • @6008735rd Fuck Dexter!

  • @6008735rd Yeah, Dexter is far more cartoonish than BB. Nobody would realistically find themselves in Dexter's situation. Don't misunderstand me, I love Dexter, but there's no denying it's pure fantasy. The sloppiness of Walt and Jesse in the first two seasons is much more realistic. Don't take my word for it, watch up to the end of Season 4 and you'll be hooked, brother.

  • @6008735rd

I started re-watching this serie juste after Dexter too, both are great, seriously !

  • I am a passenger..and i ride and i ride

  • "Walt... What are you? Walt, is that you!"

    Slips inside her

    "GASP!!"

Now it's half past four, along the rondevue

  • 0.42 "it's so crazy" ?? but the original by mano negra is "it's so lazy"

  • Break that one biatch

  • the best series, and good music

  • thumbs up if you first heard this on breaking bad.

  • best breaking bad first season song...silver seas : catch your own train... look it up. It is the song that plays after walt blows up the yuppy's car

  • @drklnk23 Sorry for being a nerd but the song that plays when he blows up Yuppy's car is Darondo - Didn't i. The part where Catch yer' own train plays is at the end of the fifth episode i think where Walt blows up half of Tuco's compound.

  • a great manu chao's song in a very loyal version!! time don´t fool of me...

  • Yeah, I'm here because of Breaking Bad too, and it's a shame this video hasn't reached a million views yet.

  • @blizzy00 already on season II:3 lol.

  • so just finished the pilot of breaking bad and holy. shit. perfect song.

  • @tigereye04

Enjoy man. That first season is great, and you have a lot of catching up to do.

  • OMG Iggy Pop Are you there ?

  • @Irandal

I know dude. This sounds like classic Iggy, The Passenger.

  • @ZeekeKontroller amazing song from iggy. but this one is pretty boss too.

  • if my life d be a movie they should play this song while credits roll

  • Nice cover but I prefer the original of the French band Mano Negra :-)

  • @RedRequiemNK both are good songs, but this one sounds more iggy pop ;)...

  • polska wersja ma lepsze pierdolnięcie.

  • Mano Negra Forever !!!!

  • Im here cause of Breaking Bad too, great song ,great serial

  • not bad but the original from La Mano Negra is better !!

  • @kinokorocks

    By far !!!!!

  • Save Walter

  • His voice really does remind me of Iggy.

  • Everything he says in this song rings so true with my actual life that I can't believe it.

  • Good cover but Mano Negra's original version is unbeatable :)

  • best when you listen in the car

    : )

  • Yes it is to live, I want to live too

  • Me too =)

  • Who's here because of The Bad Seeds?

  • The song writter is Manu Chao, former leader of Mano Negra, great band of France

  • This song makes me want to live.

    Breaking Bad 4EVAR <3

  • Meeee !!!

  • whoever wrote this song blatantly plagarized "the passenger" by iggy pop. That song would've fit better in breaking bad anyways, why did they use this plagarized piece of shit

  • Anybody know who is the song writer? Because a french band have a same song (Mano Negra).

  • @sittingbull484 it doesn't matter, they plagarized this off iggy pop's "passenger"

  • Wow, just watched the BB pilot for the second time (watching the series through again)... funny how it brought so many of us to this video.

  • Awesome song!

  • @BlitzenBlazes No, I think he would. These songs are exactly the same. People have won more stupid law suits then this one, and this was CLEARLY plagarized.

  • @BenniePropane

The songs are very similar, yes, but I believe it would be a longshot to prove there was ill intent in a court of law.

  • amazing cover!!!

  • It's a Mano Negra's song written by Manu Chao in 1990's ! Awesome song...! Idem, I've heard this Mick Harvey's version at the end of an episode of Breaking Bad... Terrific ! ^^

  • Just watched the first episode of Breaking Bad yesterday. WOW, Amazing show ever!

  • viva breaking bad4ever

  • IGGY POP STYLE!!!

  • I don't have any musical talent or anything - but... This sounds like a total rip-off of Iggy Pop's the Passenger

  • @Erectoralporicy Thing is, the Am - F - C - G chord sequence is one that is used in many, many songs; the rhythm here makes it sound close to Iggy Pop, but that doesn't say much about the song itself (by the Mano Negra, a French Rock band). It's just a very standard chord sequence with a more Americanized beat - my point is it's not a rip-off even if it sounds close. The more you know!

  • @ajpbrunet

Haha well okay fair enough - I never knew that (even though chord progression is lost on me - I don't play anything). I think a part of it is also the voice - even though I can't say a voice is 'ripping-off' another voice, it just also really reminds me of Iggy Pop too. Oh well, great song nonetheless.

  • @ajpbrunet Well said. It's why an artist can't copyright a chord progression. The melody also starts on the fifth scale step just like the passenger which gives it an even more familiar sound right off the bat, but it is a different song. Iggy Pop wouldn't win a lawsuit over this one.

  • @Erectoralporicy thats because it is a total rip off of iggy pop's passengger

  • @BenniePropane

Your ears are broken. Using an organ in an upbeat song does not equal plagiarism. The chords, lyrics and tempo are present in the original song. Might as well say Iggy Pop ripped off Bob Dylan for using an Organ like this in a pop song.

  • still going great

  • The Bad Seeds lost the great musician after Blixa. Nick eat yourself !!!

  • tbm ouvi no final do breanking bad e tive medo, medo de ser uma musica do demonio, mas descobri q era de deus, feita por deus

    kkkk

  • Was Walt trying to "launder" the money at the end? :P

  • not only is breaking bad one of the best things i have ever watched - it also shows me here and there some pretty damn good new music i would have never discovered

  • Who's here because of Breaking Bad!?

    This song is awesome!

  • @piternet01

This song and breaking bad is awesome . Waiting for the 5th season.

  • @piternet01

    ohhh yeah :)

  • @piternet01 me

  • @piternet01 Me!

  • @piternet01 hahaha exactly, amazing series, amazing soundtrack!

  • @piternet01 Who's here because of Mano Negra and Manu Chao!

  • way better: the version of mano negra

  • walter f%/$ing skyler yay!

  • how is it possible that this wasn't sued for copying 'passanger'

  • @kombajndosalatek

Because anybody would have a hard time proving it in a court of law. That's why.

Just because some chords seemingly resemble another song is not enough to go by.

  • Comment removed

  • @kombajndosalatek

it's got the style and feel down fairly good. but, uhm. it actually has a different chord pattern, melody (although slightly reminiscent) riff and lyrics.

  • i think this is the first mano negra cover ever, even by a non-european artist! i was very happy to hear that! the breakin bad is excellent, it is now on "arte" , a french-german channel :)

  • @vipassanayogi the first one was by le maximum kouette ;) a french band^^

  • Comment removed

  • @Fisslag you mean- the first cover, right? i misundestood at first! cool band, also!

  • how nice to find a new serie with new nice music aswell in 1 day :)

  • owsome!

  • Listen to this "T.Love - Neony" :) Polish Version of this song.

  • Listen to this "T.Love - Neony" :)

  • Jeah, that´s exactly the same way I heard of that great song. It´s awesome and I can´t get it out of my head. Breaking bad is awesome as well

  • Breaking bad is one of the best series there exists...and this is a good song

  • The original version is way better, from one of the best bands ever, Mano Negra. Check out "Mala Vida" too.

  • Wonderful song to underscore a middle-aged man's feelings of mortality, and the lust for life that accompanies that

  • Breaking Bad introduced me to this song. pretty good stuff.

  • Who is the original composer of this song? I knew it first from Mano Negra, but now I just discovered Iggy Pop and the stooges sang "The passenger" in the 70s with different lyrics but almost same tune. Someone have a clue?

  • @FedericoRosenfeld: It wsa composed by Mano Negra. Mick Harvey made this cover and "The Passenger" is an other song. The Passenger sounds similar on some parts, but it's no Cover. ;)

  • Much better than Manu Negra.

  • Cant fucking find this anywhere (illegaly) :( is the album ''two of diamonds'' worth the buy i'll probs have to order it in for 15 odd quid?

....& yes breaking bad is fucking awesome

  • @tvrulesnation Yes Two Of Diamonds is absolutely worth buying!

  • blixem59

Appreciate the write back 6 odd months later :P

Found Manos original version, love both versions. I'll pick it up when i get money, again much appreciated writing back

  • This song always gives me that skip in my step :) and yes i heard it on braking bad, its down.

  • Original song by French band - Mano Negra (include Mano Chao as a singer)

  • Heizenberg!!!!

  • dont ever, EVER! fuck with Walter White

  • @smokenthatbomb Mr. White for you.

  • Thank you for this great song

  • This song works so well with the show, even though its more upbeat.

  • lovely

  • I wasn't aware this was a cover when I reviewed Two of Diamonds.

  • "Walt, I feel so sorry for you." - "Fuck you"

  • sounds like the passenger by iggy.. love this song. love breaking bad. wooo!

  • Breakin Bad is the Best show I have seen in a long time!

This song is originally by a French dude named Mano Negra. (his version is better, although this version is great)

He changed his stage name to Mano Chao and dose that song "King of the bongo" among others
