This car is a very fine car, the interior is very well built and the seats are very firm. I don't know whether its fair to say that it is as good as a W124 model since the feeling inside is way different than the last model W211. Ride wise it is also slightly firmer... It took me sometime to get used to the interior but I had realized that it goes with the entire package (image and handling). Again, its a fine car!

I bet its technically superb but the styling is all over the place, How do you mate a squared front end with the rounded rear end and side 'bulge' over the rear wheel arch. I want a Merc but I'm not buying one that looks like that !

I LOVE MERCEDES...but this car certainly does not tickle my fancy. I'm a little disappointed i was expecting something a little more sporty and stylish. I have to agree with the majority, this car looks too much like a Hyundai genesis....and it has too many straight edges, kinda like those Cadillac POS that look like they only had a ruler when they designed them... maybe the later models will have some design modificaions...Hopefully

Wow, it looks so cheap and plasticy! The design reminds me of Lexus and Hyundai. What ever happened to originality? That chromed plastic grill is awful, and I bet it squeaks and creaks when touched. And what about that tacky ELEGANCE console badge @ 2:16?!! Elegance, class and status does NOT need a stinkin' badge to announce itself. It's discreet and is supposed to give off a silent aura of higher quality. It does not proclaim itself.

The front looks ok. The back is a disgrace. Looks like a Hyundai Sonata. (korean crap). However, it drives better and is more dynamic compared to the 211 model. The interior is a matter of taste. I find it cheap. To much plastic :-(

I'm a MB fan, but i'm a bit disappointed. The front looks good but seems to be appealing to an older crowd. Like 40's and up. The current E class looks more hip. Plus, the back end reminds me of the Hyundai Sonata. Nevertheless, it is still a Mercedes. I would buy this over a BMW 5 series

The old E-Class was better. The front of this car is fine, but I'm not sold on the rear. It honestly looks like the front part of the car was made in Germany, and the Koreans finished the back. A big disgrace for Mercedes.

OMG! i completely agree! the front is nice, the interior is 50/50. either u like it or you dont, i personally think the '08 interior is far more nicerr..and yea the back looks like a mitsubishi galant/ hyundai genesis. -no comment on the "ELEGANCE" badge above the climate controls

The rear design is from 10 years ago. Overall, mercedes design philosophy is leaning toward the direction where the old lincoln was heading; "for old people".

To me, BMW and Audi's design attracts buyer from all age.

in my honest opinion, the new E class look kind of odd. the last generation was better looking than this new one. but i glad mercedes didn't make the E class too pretty. i just bought a beautiful opal fire Class with AMG sport package and its much better looking than the E. someone pointed out that the E rear look like a hyundai. totally agree.

My heart aches when I see what's being done to Mercedes. It wouldn't be that serious if it was only the outward appearance, but it's not: the quality has become miserable. Once the Mercedes was first choice. Oh Mercedes what have they done to you. :-(

I expect better than this.. They are trying to make the retro version of the 'ponton', but -im sorry to say- it looks not good enough for the money you spend on it.

Nonetheless, the Interior is awesome, and the features are more S-class standard than E-class standard.

Overall.... Still better than current 5-series, but I'll take the old one.. :P
