This is a US TV show called Heroes, aired on NBC. Claire Bennet has the ability to regenerate any damaged cells in her body (including growing new limbs etc), this video represents her trying to understand her new found ability and she tests it to the max, maybe you should check out the show, you will understand more. This video was not meant to be dark in the sense that Claire is trying to kill herself, because she isn't. She is merely trying to understand what is happening to her.
