Went broke financially in 1984. No ghosts that I've ever heard of. They filmed an episode of a tv series there a few years ago. I'm not even sure I remember the name, Fear maybe? Anyway, they just made up some story about the school's past - all fictional for the tv ratings.
why did it close? i heard it was haunted

yeah, it was mtv's fear but they disguised it as the Hopkins Military Academy.
