  • The head is really too small!

    Scale by 150% or more!

    Sorry

  • Awesome Video on Garment Maker.

  • Hey IWKYA1 how do I allow the clothes to be seen when I render my scene??

I've tried setting the lines used to make the clothes to render in the renderer but no good.

  • Stop whistling and making that annoying sound with your mouth and freaking start already.

  • ....dude...this is simply great

  • such an unprofessional tutorial. you should be all prepared in the beginning. i spent 3 minutes watching you get ready and your whispering. and explaining things that we already know of.

  • Fucking annoying whipering

  • Hey man, thanks for this great tutorial. I have a question, I´m trying to make a pants, but the gravety makes them fall, I tried with "preserve" the vertex around the hip, but when I simulate the cloth, those preserved vertex don´t stay still, they try to open to the original panel. Do you have any idea of how fix that??

    Thanks a lot

  • like it so much thanks for help

  • do you need any special plugins?

  • buena honda gracias thank you por subirlo

  • Hey man! This tutorial has been helpful. I have one question. How do you get the clothes to stay on the character when jumping or rolling? When I animated a fight scene the clothes stayed while running but became all wrapped up when jumping or rolling. Please help if you can.

  • How do you align the the spline to the body? When I draw around my character its totally on the wrong angle whcih I thnk is because the spline is 2d, where as the character is 3d.

  • whats your processor

  • Im currently running a 3.2g quad core ont his system

  • @iwkya1 k thanks :D

  • @iwkya1 thank u so much for this great tutorial but can u help me please to know how can i add a skin/flesh to a biped and how to put face map in the bibed face ?? plz help thnx so much

  • @PalestineAboveAll I have a tutorial called skinning a bloodelf. It details skinning.

  • @iwkya1 thank u so much ill go n see it but i meant how to put a bitmap image ( my face photo) into a biped head after giving it flesh ( or as u name it skin ??) thank u so much

  • Well i fixed my problem. if any one gets the "more than 2 splines near a point or something" error, all you have to do is space out your panels more

  • Im getting a "more than 2 splines meet at a point" error when i add the garment maker mod. What could be causing this?

  • go to edit spline, select all 4 verts and click break. That will sort it .

  • I did exactly as you did in the video, except when I get to the add garment modifier part, it get the error :/ if i dont break all the vertices(or if i only break one of each of the sections of cloth) then it works, but then the seams are wrong.

  • Hey, can anybody help me with this: when I simulate cloth on a walk animation for my char, it does the simulation, but it doesn't save it in the keyframes, so when I move the the animation slide, thingy at the bottom, only my character moves and the cloth stays frozen where it was at the end of the simulation.

    I hope u understand what I mean.thx

  • Nvm, I just figured it out ;p

  • am using a skinned low poly and garment maker with cloth modifier but the cloth passes through the model and does not collide even after making the model collision object and raising the subsambles and tinkering with collision properties offset and depth, any ideas why

  • it is massive only when you have more than 4gb of ram. 32 bit system can only use ~3gb for one app, while 64bit OS can assign up to 128gb if i'm not wrong

  • every time i use cloth it says cloth over stretched an the simulation fails or when it finishes the simulation i get poaking out verts i dont know why ????

  • Thanks once more for another awesome tutorial man

  • What is garment maker? Is it an addon i ned to download is it free? Where do i get it!???

    Help!

  • garment maker is just a modifier of 3dmax can only be applied to a spline figure.

  • thankyou for awesome tutorial!

  • WOW. You got me INTO 3d modeling and animation and just about everything i know about it is from your tutorials and leaning my own along the way. Thanks for all the great vids! I couldn't have gotten so far without them :)

  • Ok and thanks for getting back to me on that. I look forward to seeing more great tutorials from you. All the best and stay in good health. :)

  • I'll comment on this one ass well :D

So thanks for your tutorial on cloth simulation and Garment maker,

Up until now i have only done weaopons, furniture, vechicals and other stuff and never really needed to make cloth.

And i now i need to make a suit of sorts in 1-2 days time for a project ,so you basicly saved me :D

    Thanks again man, realy greatful.

  • Np probs man, glad i could help. Thanks for the comment :)

  • I've been looking for this plugin every where for my 3ds max 2008. Can I find it free to download any where or maybe even a trial version? I'm trying to do a nice character in max with out much extruding for the clothing and I thought this would be really helpful to have. Leave a comment on my page and get back to me on this. thanks

  • Its not a plugin, its embedded into max. 2008 does have it but it only can be used with splines, and only shows in the modifier list when you are using a spline, hence why you cant see it. Hope it helps.

  • Thanks. Im glad i could help.

  • U R The Best i mean that
