She was nervous and who could blame her the whole world was watching her.. She overcame any flaw in the very begining and then she sang magnifienctly..It was like a prayer and that's why she got a standing ovation.

Someone does need to take her aside, however and tell her that gyrating her hips and calling out "Piercy baby" is really not acceptable (or classy) behavior if she wants to be able to sing for the queen. However I love her voice and wish her continued fame and many opportunities.

She can sing but this performance wasnt amazing, this song is suppose to be full of emotion and she seems quite stiff. Having a good voice is not enough its about the whole performance as well.

I believe honestly that the best act on the night was Diversity, because not only were they absolutely brilliant but they improved on their audition. I just think Susan got it all wrong - her song choice didn't really suit her until she got into that more gusto part, the fact that she looked all dolled up didn't really look like her, and she looked more uptight and proper than she did in the auditions. Of course the public decides so she won't lose... but she's not the best act in the field.

i'm sorry but that was super pitchy... I'm sorry and I love her but I'm just saying if that was her first performance we won't have all been totally blown away. it was awful at the beginning and then it was good and then it got pitchy again at 2:42. She's amazing but she better step it up at the finals, she's better than this! Don't be blind because of her first performance, actually listen and you'll see what i'm talking about.

I loved the 1st audition & listened to it over & over, bcos it passed my closed eyes test. Her SEMI's very shaky start was unfortunate but understandable due to the pressure from the millions of ppl following her around the world & the endless interviews she did. TO BE FAIR & unbias, Susan didnt fair well with my closed eye test for the rest of the song even if it got better at the end. Definitely very far from an epic performance which is what it takes to win. Hope she does better next round.

this was not nearly as good. she must have been feeling the pressure, cause she struggled with quite a few notes, mostly right in the beginning but also one towards the end. probably everyone decided the judges shouldn't criticize her, cause if this was american idol, simon would have knocked her for those notes. but i do think she is really good -- cry me a river is great, and a completely different style -- she was probably just feeling the nerves.
