Lacoste Essential Sport.. was a surprise for me. At first I thought it's just nothing special, something derivative of many perfumes out there. But when I get to finally wear it, found its middle to base note is very pleasant. Semi-sweet. I just love it. Try it if you haven't! and tell me if we're on the same page once you do. Thanks too by the way for your spray/longevity tips, very useful info! You're great.

In order to prolong the scent from your cologne of choice, it is suggested that you apply it directly to your skin instead of your shirt.

I like this scent alot, much more then Challenge which I originally wanted but then decided smelled way too much like a deoderant

I think it only lasts me around 4 hours or so though... Maybe im not wearing it properly or something

What do you think of essential sport? just sniffed it today and I liked it a lot too. It doesn't have that tomato stem vibe running through it so I could see it being more popular with a wider audience than the original. I bought the original this winter though so I'm excited to actually try it in the upcoming summer.

I finally got a 2.5 of Lacoste essential... It's nice.

I think you need to give it 5-10 minutes for it to open up though. I didn't like it as much right when it's sprayed on your skin.

Why are there almost no reviews for this fragrance on youtube? Everybody seems to think it's pretty amazing even though it is fairly casual/linear.

Yup... I think it's hard for almost everyone to gauge accurately "true" scent life when worn on oneself. Your brain gets used to the smell and numbs it out. Get somebody else to smell you lol.

For the people saying that it isn't lasting all day, make sure that your wearing the cologne the right way. Clothes do NOT hold fragrances very well. Spray it on your chest, neck, or wrist. Those are the hot spots for colognes.

I will also have to comment on this one cubby. This cologne has a very clean smell to it especially once it dies downj a bit. i love the time release technology that is it in. everyonce in a while i get a nice wiff of it. this is an amazing cologne and never heard any putdowns about it. very worth the mone

i just got this cologne and its bothering me. i can barely smell it. i put 3 sprays on my body and i barely notice it. dont get me wrong, i like the smell alot cause its not strong at all. its just that its barely noticeable. is it like that???

i just happen to be wearing lacoste essential today to work but i'd have to disagree with cubby on some points

this definately does not last long on my skin, i would say 4 hours tops

it does smell really nice and this is a scent you can't go wrong with, i like it but it's not in my top

i also use hugo xy for spring / summer, which is much greener than essential. maybe you should try it as well if you didn't already :) cheers

It lasts all day for me with 1 spray to the throat and 1 spray to the upper chest. I can still smell it now on my shirt collar after 12 hours. I guess it's hit or miss on longevity with this one.

Highly recommend for summerdays...it's very simple, fresh, happy, usual, and attractive. It has a great longervity. for me it's classical smell for any sport. u fell very stylish on court, pitch or ground when you are wearing this. practising sport is much more elegant with this scent. Try it! You'll love it!

it sounds great. is it very masculine or could it be unisex? Milder male fragrances I think are doable for women who like deeper scents. Men always smell better than women.

I'm still looking for a perfume that I don't get sick of after a while. And my biggest issue is scent memory, mine is too intense and so I cannot wear an old fragrance without being back where I was when I originally started wearing it. It's annoying. Especially if they were bad memories.
