Even is the audio wasn't delayed and he did draw before the signal, I think he still hit all the targets within a second. And if he didn't, well... It is still impressive to me. I will never reach this level of marksmanship with a single action because I can't own one to begin with.

Fast shooting but he clearly drew before the tone by over 1/4 second anticipating it...actual time between shots may have been around that -but add the time he jumped the tone drawing and cocking ahead of time and it's still fast...but it aint under a second by a longshot! Still damn nice though

The video actually has a slight audio delay. That is the "jump" you are noticing.

Watch the end and you will see the last round go off before you hear the gun fire. Only off by a fraction, but when looking at a time, audio glitches look a lot worse ;)

Not to take anything away from this skilled shooter but this is done with blackpowder blanks. The balloon targets are about 10 feet away. The blanks are loaded with 1F blackpowder and the unburnt powder breaks the balloons.

At close range the powder gives a shotgun effect and much less accuracy is needed. The shooting is still amazing.

He's not drawing early - the sound is out of sync, coming in slightly late. Pay attention to the last shot you hear, which happens noticeably AFTER the last puff of smoke.

Also, since this person is not insane, he's almost certainly firing blanks, which give off enough heat and dust and crap to pop a balloon at that range. It's not "bird shot" but there is a bit of a spread to it. It's still an incredible display of skill regardless.

Fast draw competitions use blanks or wax loads, there is no recoil too speak of. And yep blanks will pop a balloon at 8 feet. The timer is pretty standard fair, this one is set to only display when a shot is recorded by the mic.
