Ooooh! I finally figured out this! I need to get this on VHS or DVD or both. This is officially the first alien movie I ever saw and very likely the first horror movie I ever saw as I was 3 or 4 years old when I watched this with my family. I couldn't have been older because I remember the room where I sat and I know which apartment it was at... This looks like a fine movie and I'm happy if my first touch with horror was by a fine movie. :P

@gagagagn3 Why? :D  It's only to advantage of the composer - they either pay you a lot "up front" so they own the song and can use it as much as they want, or even better: They pay you royalties, so everytime it's used they have to pay you for that. :)

Trust me, if anybody's happy with this - it's the composer. :D (Unless his/her manager was sh#t and didn't bargain a deal - but yeah...)

Critters and Nightmare on Elm St both were from New Line Cinema... they just borrowed music from one of their own films to use for the trailer of another film....straight up 80's-ism right there -only in the mid 80's would movie studios pull hillarious stuff like re-using soundtracks ...nonetheless, Critters is still a well made movie from that era
