I love the interweaving melodies with both hands... It's actually really hard to compose pieces like this people!!! So stop disliking, you wayworth scum!!!!
I love the playfulness of this tune, as it is close to central c, and it is interesting how when composing one can come up with an invention that hasn't been heard before, as this can seem obvious to you, I am no composer, but it would soon become apparent if I were :-)
I'm very fond of your Invention, Mr. Simpson! It has a charming 20th century feel to it while still staying true to Bach's rules & form for invention writing. Though the particular style of B section you've composed turns into somewhat of a concerto by baroque standards, the repeating, recapitulation, and reassertation of melodic themes is very stylistic! Bravo! very well done!
You demonstrated your excellent knowledge of composing, but i think personally, that you should try to create almost a "conversation" in ur pieces as to this song in some parts almost sounds like random notes. Excellent job though! keep it up and this is an excellent technical peice for students!
You've just opened my eyes even wider! Absolutely love your play on rhythm. Personally I feel that Baroque style music deserves a lot more Latin groove treatment, which you've just done, fantastic! Thanks for posting this. I think I'd like to add it into my repertoire soon :) Also, if you don't mind, I'll post this on Twitter too! (@yukiest)
I really like your compositions and they are very original but they are also very hard!! :) is there a link to the sheetmusic to this invention I would love to learn this.

Caro Leo le tue invenzioni sono seconde solo a quelle del sommo J.S. Bach. E' un onore averti come amico
