Blender 2.5 Tutorial: How to Make Grass (part 1)

i'm using blender 2.59 and when particles pop out they are from both side of the plane - up and down. And under Children i don't have Face. I have None, Simple and Interpolated. When I press Interpolated few option are like in Face tab by you, but other are different or missing :/ Can you help me? TNX!

for some reason when i click on the particle system tabb nothing shows up any thoughts on how i could fix it

@MrMyface210 In blender 2.5.9 you have to click on the Advanced checkbox to get the Velocity option panel

@goldaceofspades Are you sure the lamps are pointing toward the plane? If it seems that it is pointing toward the plane, check from different views and angles.

When I tried to do this, the second material you have us add won't take. The grass won't turn green, as it were. I did everything you said but, when I switched to texture, it won't show the green. Why would that be?

i figured out how to see the grass now but it looks really bad lol any way i can make it look like blender guru's?

for some reason when i render everything is black besides the sky even with the two lamps. The energy is 10 on the yellow one and 7 on the blue one and im getting nothing. even made em over 9000 and nothing is happing plz help!!!!

i fixed the problem -- i need to change the base material -- that will change the grass material when it comes to the render =D

and... down with the XD blender!!! sublims dont even work in schycology!!!!!

@blueheadedpants yea 2.5 is still in alpha, but it is such an improvement over 2.49 that I only use blender 2.5 at this point

@CleverNameStudios i really like your vid.... one thing you could do is instead of telling people "ok now click this this and this", be more explanitory like "ok now click this and we click this because it will do blah blah" apart from that great tut, and you should do more you have a good voice for this kinda thing.
